Re: SUNWING

I quit Sunwing last winter....its a decent place to work with some ok people. If your a single guy, your gonna have a lot of fun going back and forth to Europe in the summers, and flying south in the Winter! If you want to have a family, its a tough gig for ya being away often, sometimes for months....

Anyone in the Ottawa area in need of part time float work? Professional float driver looking for some extra work on weekends, after a 9-5 job during week, really anything.... I have 5000hrs on floats with an ATPL, jet time, etc. OR any private guys need someone to bomb around with this summer...floa...

Re: Kasper Kodiak

Kodiak is a piece of shit on floats and worse on amphibs. Too expensive for what you get out of it. Well, unless you have a shit load of cash and want to fly it around for fun...maybe sure go ahead. But don’t even consider it for commercial use unless superman himself is driving it. Can’t offer any ...

Re: Newfoundland CL-415 flying Jobs???

Appears the hiring / recruitment process is starting earlier each year. Hopefully they get the word out sooner then later with Conair hiring...might end up with scraps by February. JMHO...but better to lock a solid guy in for next season rather then wait til the first fire. Always said pilot jobs in...

Re: Turtle Airways

from what i know of them its not a bad outfit....if your looking to have a little fun, fly a few hours you’ll enjoy it. Don’t expect to make any money though. Fiji is a great place and is cheap to live but wages reflect that. When you come back you won’t be much farther financially. Flying is great ...

Re: Supply and Demand of Commercial Pilots in Canada

Try looking into the amount of specialized pilots that are out there now compared to even 10 years ago. i.e. Float pilots with 1000 PIC on floats, Ag pilots, even helicopter pilots. ie: A 737 , 747 , A320 , GV, Global X.....etc etc etc... You can cross-train and toss a jet driver fella into any of t...

Re: C206 VS Beaver

From a professional float drivers point of view Dehavillands always win! Go with the Beaver or if you can afford it, go to the single otter....a C206 with that thin wing and underpowered engine makes it no fun for passengers or pilots. Cessna is just not made for the water. always love this video......

Re: Am I On Crack Again

Aslong as pilots keep accepting low wages operators will keep paying them....if you don't like the terms and conditions, turn down the job and tell them why. If enough guys do it they will be forced to change otherwise have an empty seat, thus, no flying....but you get a guy with stars in his eyes a...

Re: Greek Seaplane Service

They are still putting the show together there...Not going to start running until 2015 at the earliest start date. Looks like they will also have a TRTO at their facility. Hopefully they can make this one work unlike the AirSealines days...as I hear they don't want to pay seaplane pilots their worth...
