Re: New Contract thread

Guaranteed this would be a different conversation had the outcome been TA1+ ...... Too many arm chair quarterbacks coming out of the wood work now that its all over with. JDM Do you agree that the B scale wages, 4yr Flat Pay, SL5 Pension, and voluntarily sending WAWCON DECADES in the past at LCC wa...

Re: New Contract thread

Ah, I see you changed your post while I was typing mine. FYI, I would have no problem with the TA being voted down if it was done honestly, but it wasn't. I got a lot of anonymous emails full of half truths and outright lies about that TA that were leaked from someone on the inside that wanted it t...

Re: New Contract thread

It's easy to sit around and bitch and complain on an anonymous forum. If you don't like what transpired, why don't you do something other than spout off about it? Kind of hard to answer when you keep changing your post. FYI, I am doing something about it. I'm trying to figure out who to vote for in...

Re: New Contract thread

Yeah, I know that. I didn't say "run for an elected position again" because I was trying to be diplomatic and not out you any further.

Re: New Contract thread

jdm I stand by the petitions and would do them again. I'd vote no to TA1 again. I don't support the new contract at all. I have no interest in getting into a mud slinging debate with you or any other anonymous person on here. You want to have a debate about the petitions, the failure of TA1, or any...

Re: ACPA MEC Chairman FIRED!

Sorry for being ignorant here guys, but aside from MEC being fired, what the heck is everyone talking about voting down or for this TA??? Didn't the arbitrator pretty much decide for everyone what the new contract will be just last Monday?? Again, my apology if I sound naive, but I just want a quic...

Re: ACPA MEC Chairman FIRED!

f'd up place to work. Disco Stu! how come so silent? all done putting together petitions to oust? Hahaha. Just keeping a close eye on numbers. Not much to add. Wish the YVR and YWG boys would step up a little. Interesting that you had no trouble discussing the petitions here when you were sending t...

Re: New Contract thread

jdm, There is a difference between working for a company you hate, and working at a job you hate. Sure but I keep hearing about better paying jobs at companies that actually respect their pilots, but nobody ever seems to leave. Those of us who like working here are getting a little weary of listeni...

Re: New Contract thread

What's the problem with answering here? I don't understand why you still work at AC. From what I've seen you post here, on twitter, etc, you have nothing good to say about the company, and you're saying that newhires should go to Westjet. You haven't been at AC that long, so I assume you're not too ...

Re: New Contract thread

There are still plenty of jobs at risk. You could drive a truck through the hole in the no furlough language. What I mean is that the rumours were far worse (<120 seats, no ASM ratio, no LCC). Instead of trying to troll me JDM why don't you grow a set and tell me who you are since you seem to know ...

[quote="Disco Stu"]

After looking through the contract, the scope clause isn't as alarming as I had initially been lead to believe.

Does that mean you're going to post a retraction on twitter?

Re: A New Leaf

Hey brothers. Like you, I've experienced many parts of the industry both great, and not so much. I've also experienced the wrath of our own running rampant with rumors and doom and gloom breeding distractions, whining and a domino effect of negative culture. It's up to us in the industry. Call it w...

Re: New Contract thread

To the ACPA people, Hindsight being 20/20, what (in your control) would you have done differently between the time of TA1 to this past Monday? I don't want to hear about the government did this or the company did that, this is a legitimate question for the Union to move forward and start working an...
