Send a resume and see!
You should apply to every job you WANT, not just the ones you think you might be qualified for.

It will also be someone who is familiar with hiring temporary foreign workers. Here's an idea....if you actually provide a good wage and decent working conditions, you wouldn't need to work so hard to find employees that will stick around. Amazing how times have changed in the last few years. Also a...

Re: Are all aviation college diplomas equal?

So probably not worth the extra money for the Conestoga college diploma....better off to just get the licenses...or go to one of the more recognized aviation schools or university

Are all aviation college diplomas equal?

Air Canada has always advertised that they prefer "University degrees" OR "Aviation College Diplomas" Historically MANY graduates of the government subsided aviation programs at the Sault and Seneca end up at Air Canada. My question is, do Canadian airlines look at college programs differently if no...

Pilot shortage has reached the US corporate operators

I already posted this in the general section as response to one of the threads, but I will put it here in the more appropriate forum

Re: how do kids afford this racket???

Those grants are remnants of the last "pilot shortage" of the 1970s. The government has certainly wasted way more money on less worthy causes!

Re: What is your TOSA today?

What I am getting at is, in absence of APG or similarly runway analysis, in an area with terrain above 1500', what would you do?
Where would you look to find a safe acceleration altitude?

What is your TOSA today?

After a stimulating simulator conversation, I would like to get an idea of what everyone is using for TOSA.
400agl? 1500agl? Other numbers?
What about in unfamiliar terrain?

Let the arguments begin!

Re: Jumping from airline to corporate?

A big problem with management companies is the fact that they CHARGE the aircraft owner a great deal more in salaries than they actual pay the pilots. I would be willing to bet that most owners think the pilots are making a good salary, because they are paying a good salary...it just doesn't get pas...

I would put Execaire behind Skyservice and possibly tied with Chartright.
Execaire is not what it was 25yrs ago, that's for sure.
