Re: Air Canada Accident in YHZ

Having said that, my recollection of Rwy 05 in YHZ is that it was, and still remains today a runway waiting for an accident to happen. As I recall (been retired 7 years), 05 has a hump about 1000’ down the runway and the terrain gently slopes in both directions down the runway and moreso in the opp...

Re: Boeing question with regard to icing conditions

No need for EAI on the ground if the clouds are at 5000ft. You would only require it to be on if the temp was below 10 and the vis was less than a mile.

Re: Foreign Pilots flying in Canada

While SWG "works towards equalizing" and slashes prices due their operating advantage, Tansat is being gutted. There's only so long they can continue to operate at a loss. If TS fails, Canjet would likely follow and then there would be over a hundred NG rated pilots on the market thus closing the fo...

Non non non,
Doing contract work in other countries is wrong remember?
You are supposed to stay home and collect unemployment. You wouldn't want to steal jobs from the local pilots that don't have 737 PPC's but really deserve jet jobs.... .

Re: 1 to share cost on old school road trip

I thinks its a great idea, better to get out there and do something then sit on your ass and wait for them to call you. I got one of my first jobs by doing the classic road trip that I would have never gotten by e-mailing out resumes.
Good luck!!
