Re: New Merger?
Does anyone have the Air Transat payscale? I have a friend, who claims he makes significantly more than the new hire Rogue guys. Judging from what I've seen, I believe him.

Re: Why is AC allowed to get away with overselling flights?
To everyone complaining about the overselling of seats, you need to wake up. It's 2013, not 1965. Deregulation of the industry has caused fares to drop significantly over the last 30 years, and as a result so has the level of service. You don't like it? Your welcome to take the bus, train, or boat. ...

Guys, there is a larger issue at stake here. Canada has just announced they are discontinuing the penny. How is Encore going to pay their pilots now!?

Re: e190s
My guess would be the NEO since they already have most of the infrastructure in place. Secondly, I would imagine it would be advantageous to keep multiple aircraft brands in the fleet to keep them competing against each other for future purchases. I guess from that logic, the c-series might make a c...

Re: Any AC guys thinking of making the switch?
Thanks for you input highlander. I have to agree. Aircraft type no longer concerns me, but working conditions and job satisfaction do. I came to AC with an open mind, having previously no preference for either. I find the people I immediately work with are very good, highly skilled, and likeable. Ho...

Re: Any AC guys thinking of making the switch?
AC may or may not survive the next 10, 20, 75 years... Irregardless, whether or not it will survive is pointless, I'm more interested in the immediate noticeable changes to the average line pilot. I get the impression that many people who make the switch are happier for it, and that's really what I'...

Any AC guys thinking of making the switch?
Hey Guys. I was wondering if anyone would care to comment who is thinking about or has previously made the switch from AC to Westjet. Would love to hear what you have to say about your experiences.
Thanks

Re: How can a low-timer show interest towards AC?
Most people who end up getting hired at AC began applying once they obtained their commercial license. AC will keep a record of when you started applying, so all you will need to do is make a profile and begin applying to show interest. You will not generate a "PFO" since you won't get interviewed u...

Re: Fairchild Swearingen Metro
I used to use DC H10 13.4 myself, combined with earplugs underneath. Be very careful with your ears on this airplane, especially on the 2. It WILL damage your long term hearing if you do not respect that. The metro 3 has much better insulation, but is still annoyingly loud. I have more time on the 2...
