Re: Diamond Flight Centre Experience
My whole objective was to fly a diamond because of its flight characteristics. Just curious...what's so interesting about a Diamond's flight characteristics? Cruise at 120kt with stall of 44kt. Handling with the push rod system instead of cables and pulleys gives better responsiveness to inputs. Cl...

Re: Diamond Flight Centre Experience
In regards to DFC, Bill is a great guy with a great team. You must keep in mind here that they are not totally in the business of off the street training. If that's what you're looking for then you'll pay a little more. DFC is set up with the Western University Pilot Program which is a professional...

Re: Diamond Flight Centre Experience
I appreciate everyone's perspective. It has come to my attention through some PM's that this is how that particular school operates from other experiences. My mission was to share this experience and let it be known. This is the first time I have encountered this. Every school I have entertained has...

Re: Diamond Flight Centre Experience
The flight school is simply not willing to accommodate a renter who may be willing to pursue other ratings. You aren't. And when you are, your choice of which school to do it at will be influenced by price and availability, like every other student. Bill has been doing this longer than you have. In...

Re: Diamond Flight Centre Experience
This is one experience. I am not trying to hate on Bill. But just curious as to why he would treat someone who is willing to give him business and recommend other pilots to the diamond world. It just seemed I was unwanted as a sole renter. I will not be returning this time. Anyone have any similar ...

Diamond Flight Centre Experience
Since I joined the aviation world, I have always been interested in Diamond AC. So now that I am working out of London I decided to go check out the Diamond flight centre. Just an FYI. I completed all my training in a 150,172 and PA28. I am a CPL with 300hrs and 27 years old. My first impressions of...

Transborder Operations Procedure Question
Looking for some inquest on a flight from Charlottetown to Oshawa. I am a fresh CPL with no transborder experience. I will be flying direct from Charlottetown to Cornwall in a cherokee and im just curious about the procedure when flying over american airspace. I know a flight plan is required from a...

Re: Holding woes
My bad,
Wrote the Inrat yesterday. Had two questions on holding entries. One after the missed approach and inbound to an ndb and one just standard entry. I guess you shouldn't believe everything they say at the Aerocourse because tests can change.

Re: Holding woes
I have recently taken the IFR Aerocourse and the Instructor had stated there are no Hold questions on the current Inrat exams. It is more practical.
That is not to say you should not know the procedure efficiently to apply it while trying to maintain heading and altitude.
