Re: Go Air Canada Rouge! Send them all to WestJet!

News flash Tin Can, WJ set the standard for getting "shoe horned" into a small crowded jet. Particularly with the false marketing on "seat pitch" by making the seat shorter. I'm not sure but Westjet may have added seats. At first they seemed to have similar seating to AirCanada's back end but the s...

Re: First Q400 pic

That Q-400 needs more paint... It's too White! Needs some teal at the top of the tail and the fin forward of the vertical stab needs to be painted blue. It could use some color on the engine nacells as well. Just my opinion.

Re: Airline AME PayScale

At WestJet, you have no union protection and your seniority means nothing. Seniority is very important when layoffs are looming...which is a common occurance in the airline industry. quote] I can't think of a single person being layed off at Westjet Tech Ops in the history of the company's existenc...

Picture a small aircraft flying above with 2 antenna on it. One on each wing strut or similar area devided by the fuselage. Now each antenna has a signal strenght meter attached and wired into the cabin. While the aircraft is flying and listening to the ELT, a signal strenght will show on each meter...

If i'm not mistaken, the huds are not going to be used at all! RNP makes them redundant and therefore the newer aircraft are comming with provisions but no huds for resale value if a buyer wants huds for some reason! The existing huds may some time be removed and sold!

Awesome job by the crew! Here's to you! :drinkers: Just one question if anyone has the answer, I heard that the main wheels were all shredded, did the anti-lock system fail as well? Or was it possibly just a combination of hard braking and high OAT. I can understand the debris on the runway being fr...

Ok Swede, i'm with ya on a few subjects here but i think your view of the future is a bit to advanced! However, I do see where you're going with ...

Strategy! When you buy a new car and you want a good deal, you may have to walk out on the salesman in hopes that he'll stop you to on your way out only to say " O.K, O.K, let me go speak to my manager!" It's all about calling the bluff! Although Milton is a complete loser, he's not a complete idiot...

Westjet currently has 90 min etops. and is in an accelerated etops program to soon have 120 mins folled shortly after by the 138 or more etops rating! This will come quicker than you think! And besides, What other destinations would Westjet go through all this for? I think that people at the company...
