Re: Jumpseat Priority

What is Jazz's policy on wearing jeans while occupying the jumpseat? At AC, jeans are allowed as long as they are neat and clean. A Jazz FA just noticed I was wearing jeans and commented I was lucky I had a seat in the back because jeans in the jumpseat was not permitted. This seems a little weird, ...

Re: DC-3 "Crash" Yellowknife

The crew did an amazing job. I am really glad there was a positive outcome, especially today. However, I do take issue with Bufalo's overall operation. Joe runs it like a Russian circus. I hope transport can help him bring his operation from a 50's mentality to at least the 80's.

Re: Jumpseat Priority

Sorry to say but there is no "policy" for a CSA to occupy the jumpseat at AC. When I was bumped by one I was a little confused. Thanks for the clearing it up for me.

Jumpseat Priority

Hi

Just curious what the priority sequence would be for an AC Pilot to sit in the actual jump seat. I ask because I was bumped out by a CSA Agent. That's fine if that is how it works. However, I was "un-officially" told the priority was Pilots first.

Thanks

Stand-by Travel

I was gonna book a personal stand-by travel ticket as an employee with AC from A-B, cost $112. This includes some bogus $46 service fee, per direction of travel plus tax and any airport fees. The same flight with WestJet $21. I can understand that for some reason this is the cost of doing business a...

Pittsburgh Aircraft Rental

Hi all

I'm looking to rent a single or even a light twin in the Pittsburg area.
I'm going to visit some inlaws in Whitehall PA.
Most of my googling has turned up dead ends.
Anyone out there have any leads or contact info?

Cheers

Re: Flight Duty

On Condition Thanks for the reply, however I understand the CARS. Basically, the employer says, "you didn't fly yesterday, so lets call that a day off" This type of mentality shouldn't be present, but it's not a unique experience. I looking to hear from people that operate this way and support it or...

Flight Duty

Pilot "A" works on call. Due to the type of work he does not work everyday. CARS state that he needs 3 days off within 17 days. His employer says that since he does not work everyday the CARS don'y apply, only total flight time in the period. But Pilot "A" during his time on call, he must be at work...

Float Job

Wanna fly a 185 on floats for the summer? Got some float time? Well Big Hook Wilderness Camps are looking for someone to fill the position. Great people to work for. Not sure what their mins are but it's a private aircraft. I would guess 100hrs would be the benchmark. Contact Evie and Steve Hartle b...

Try to look for privately regristered aircraft that are used for lodges in Ont. and Man. Much easier to land a gig when their insurance is much lower. Transport Canada has a nice data base to search through.

Good Luck
