Re: Perimeter aviation vs transwest air? Help

has anyone else heard from these two companys lately? I have never heard 3 year wait time until now so I would like to hear more about that. Everyone I talked to says 1-2 year average wait time. Has anyone worked for Perimeter recently and have any info about what work conditions are like?

Re: Perimeter Aviation Written exam and sim eval!!

The written exam is a combination if IFR and CPL questions, very general stuff so review as much as you can. The in person interview is pretty standard asking about yourself and flying experiences. The sim eval is in the metroliner sim and asked you to do a hold and approach at YWG.

Re: Orca Air

I tried dropping a resume in person a few weeks ago and they were adamant that they do not take pilot resumes in person and only takes resumes that are sent in online. Best of luck.

Re: American Registered Aircraft PIC

How I understood my license is that the CPL is good for all single engine non high performance aircraft. Does that mean only Canadian registered aircraft in that class and category?

Re: ATP Flight School/FAA PIC time

We were told, and have also read that when 2 pilots are rated in an aircraft in the USA that they can both log PIC time. Is this correct? Generally, no. If one of you is under the hood flying on instruments and the other is actually PIC (making command decisions) and acting as safety pilot, yes. wo...

Re: Becoming a Float Pilot

Hi everyone thanks for the advice. Just a thought, why would I buy my own float plane now and fly it now since I've never even stepped foot in a floatplane. Dont I have to learn how to fly it first? Are you guys saying to get my float rating first and then purchase? I dont think the purchasing optio...

Becoming a Float Pilot

So I just got my ppl. I want to ultimately work for Harbour air in vancouver and I know they dont even look at you until you have about 3000 hours on floats. Now my question is, should I do the rest of my flight training to get my CPL on floats or continue to do my CPL on a 172 and then get the 50 h...

Transferring Canadaian CPL and float time to Dubai

Hi there, I am fairly new to the forum and just had a question about transferring a CPL in Canada to the United Arab Emirates. I would like to fly floats as a career, possibly abroad.
