I have never seen MEL relief for NW steering and I really doubt there would be. It would be very dangerous and really risky. Virgin is started to ahve there AC towed to the runway in the UK in an effort to conserve fuel. They have been pushing all carriers to follow suit. Maybe this was test at a sm...

What he said but don't bother with the Snap-on stuff. Maybe just the screwdriver. The pressure to buy Snap on to fit in or show eagerness is misplaced. You can find excellent tolls for 1/4 the price in Craftsman USA and even C-tire. With today's manufacturing processes most quality brands have excel...

This is aline from an agency. If you work directly for the agency you sually make less so they can make more. If you go to the place that needs the staff you wil get more. A licensed M2 enginer on typ betwen $30-$45.licensed not endorsed $25 and up all depending on experience and the place. Right no...

This not to start a row, but TC does check into A and P's background a lot do to the fact atht the A and P is a very easily attainable license and as you may know there have been frauds and bribes to get the A and P. The big scandal of a few years ago. Just remeber if you dio get your Canadian AME l...

There are options for either GE or RR engines. There is an emergency AD out for the GE engines. Apparently there have been power rollbacks on takeoff when using reduced take-off thrust or generally setting the N1 and temp using the computer. The FAA has ordered that all 777 with GE engines do takeof...

Could you and Azure at least move this thread somewhere else. There's nothing like having someone from the outside looking in guess and post info we all know and have all been trained on. We get it. You love de-icing, you love to talk about it and speculate about it and share what knowledge you thin...

Also the 600 is almost useless on longhaul trips because of the tiny baggage area, normally they will almost bulk out with 100 people onboard. Is this another area of your expertise? You seem so well informed in so many areas. Like you say, it's useless. What would a bunch actual pilots, execs and ...

ERJ145's for the domestic Toronto East stuff, and some EMB195's for the southern routings. 54% break even loads, I don't know why they're leasing a 737-500 for the same cost, and a much higher operational cost. The 54% number is a manufacturer's best case scenario. It is impossible to get such sure...

Yes I was an ICC'er. I can say it was fun but I've never seen worse cases for poor business planning and the pure waste of money. Nevermind the insane perks some employees were privy to. It was fun but it was a time bomb. I would never go back to work for them unless it was a retirement gig and I di...
