Re: Spins before solo?

C-150's are easy and fun to spin, used to hold it in the spin for four or five revolutions. I remember doing my first spin solo, took a lot of nerve to do it but once I did a few, it really built up my confidence! I wouldn't feel comfortable flying a plane if I didn't know how to get out of a spin.

Re: Future Career

I recommend getting your training done at a reputable flight training school (not a college/University), then head up to Yellowknife, work the dock for Air Tindi or Summit until you get checked out in the DHC-6...NOT the B-200 (boring flying)! After a season or two, the world is your oyster...and yo...

Re: Question about building time for a float/bush career

I just did the basic 7 hour float endorsement (ratings expire, endorsements don't), and then worked my tail off as a dock hand for two seasons up North. My reward was two sweet years of flying floats, skis, wheel-skis and some off strip as well as sched flying in the one and only Twin Otter! That fl...

Re: 250hr Pilot Advice

Here's my money saving advise to you...fast forward 3 years from now, you have been "ramping it up North" for a couple of years now and you are getting close to a check-out when you realize...Holy Shit, my IFR is expired! O:k, not the end of the world, you have a valid multi-engine endorsement (that...

Re: When do you think flying will be back to february 2020 level

One only has to look at the accelerated retirement of a relatively modern "long haul fleet" as well as a the few hundred "domestic breeds", put out to pasture well before anticipated retirement dates to realize, shit is real and not going to rebound anytime soon!

Re: TSB reports "Insufficient fuel" cause for Keewatin Air

What time of the day was this flight/accident? Was the crew asleep at the wheel, and if they were, how would the TSB/TC know in order to include that in the report?

Re: How to Move Forward

I really wouldn't mind learning a new skill or trade, but again the money aspect comes into play. I just don't have enough money for going back to school. Some places will convince you that you need to take some amount of 'foundation' courses to enter the trades. Not true. Son is a plumbing apprent...

This is well said! Where Marxism failed in the 20th century was that it grasped on to class, in the new post modern Marxist drive they grasp on to identity and intersectionality. The "useful idiots" as you say eat it up. Make no mistake that China and Russia are having a good laugh watching ...

Where Is the lie?
What?
My thoughts exactly! I have many Pilot "buddies" on social media or on my phone contact list, that I will fire off a random inappropriate meme at an inappropriate time, whom I haven't actually talked to for many years, and wouldn't hesitate to call on if needed.
