Re: Sun's True Bearing

Mapleflt,

Thanks. :)
Its been a long time since I used one of those. Someone mentioned that formula in one of those "There I was" BS sessions that Old guys have. I had never heard of it before, neat trick.

Sun's True Bearing

Does this Formula work?

Suns True Bearing= (15 × GMT (in decimals))- West Longitude(in decimals)
Thanks for the Feedback.

Re: Stolen licence

About lost/stolen licenses. It was twenty years ago when I was working for a now defunct airline. One of our Flight Engineers it was later discovered to have been working with a stolen/alter FE License. It was later discovered that he had stolen a co-workers AME's License at another airline, altered...

Re: just gotta shake your head sometimes.

Could it be the same guy that was called the "Phantom" from CYHM years ago. Would steal an airplane and then leave it on the button of a runway to be found in the morning? Back then the tower was closed at night.

BE1900, BAE J31/32, SB340 or EMB120 Replacement?????

Admittedly not too familiar with the types of operations these aircraft have historically been tasked with. What do you see as the next replacement for these aircraft types? Without jumping up in PAX capacity significantly.

Your thoughts are most appreciated!!!

Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect.

Let us all lighten up, please. I think allot of the "Stupid Sayings" are funny or at least rate a grin. We shouldn't take ourselves or our chosen Vocation so seriously!! What do you think will be the outcome once these pilots have their number come up and they slide over to the left seat and they have to deal with the real airplane ...
