Its been a long time since I used one of those. Someone mentioned that formula in one of those "There I was" BS sessions that Old guys have. I had never heard of it before, neat trick.
About lost/stolen licenses. It was twenty years ago when I was working for a now defunct airline. One of our Flight Engineers it was later discovered to have been working with a stolen/alter FE License. Could it be the same guy that was called the "Phantom" from CYHM years ago. Would steal an airplane and then leave it on the button of a runway to be found in the morning? Back then the tower was closed at night.

Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect.

What do you think will be the outcome once these pilots have their number come up and they slide over to the left seat and they have to deal with the real airplane ...

Quite frankly, it is concerning. Just remember:"...

Panama Jack; When did become no longer possible for a Canadian residing in Canada not to be able to own an "N" numbered aircraft and fly it with an FAA License? I have been working as an expat for over 15 years but back in the 90's this most certainly was possible. All you needed was a US registrati...

Didn't the Fifth Estate do an entire episode on not just the accident but the "poor Maintenance Practices" and the subsequent document tampering? About 12 years ago?
