Re: Bearskin
Couple years ago, I did interview with them. They offered 5% interest. The best I could get at the time was 8.83%. I would be losing 3.83% of my money. Compounding it, that job would have cost me $200-300 if I had accepted it. Well there you go. For every smart person like you there are probably mo...

Re: Bearskin
Are you trolling here? The horse has been dead and buried long ago, lets stop banging it. Besides, Illya is relaxing, lets not wake him up. Yes, there's a bond. Don't like? Don't apply. Don't bitch. Really if you were honestly wanting to stay at least 2 years, you wouldn't care. So that tells us th...

Re: Bearskin
Thanks for everyone's reply. Yes I read about the Bond (used the search function) but I also just read one poster that recently said that they no longer do this, so I was confused about it, that's all. I don't think pilots should have to pay to work (even if you get the money back) What other indust...

Re: IFR Clearance-Uncontrolled Aerodromes
You do not need a clearance in class G airspace, but if the uncontrolled aerodrome is in or near controlled airspace you can get a clearance: From FSS by radio, either on the field or through an RCO; From Center by radio on the ground if there is a PAL within range; From Center by phone. If there i...

IFR Clearance-Uncontrolled Aerodromes
I read the AIM and IPM and they both say that you should obtain your IFR Clearance from Clearance Delivery or Ground Control. My question is at an Uncontrolled Aerodrome (with no FSS) how do you do it? Call FIC by phone, or by radio (if within reception) or call Centre? For example, if departing Hal...

IFR Questions
Hi guys/girls. I have a few questions regarding IFR (General Aviation) 1) For an Approach Ban, if an airport has for a given runway RVR A and RVR B, do BOTH have to be serviceable in order for the Approach Ban to be in effect? If one is unserviceable, does that cancel the Ban? 2) If RVR A is 1200+ b...

If a pilot gets fired, should he/she still have to pay the remaining amount of the bond? Is this a common practice?

Hello I have a Class 3 (renewed last spring) but haven't taught flying in almost 2 years. Im sending resumes, but have the feeling that my lack of currency is working against me. I know I can get back to it if given a chance, but nobody is calling me back! Any advise on how to get back to flying/tea...

STAR Question
Here is a question. Looking at the GOHMA 3 ARRIVAL into Windsor, Ontario. From YXU VOR to AXXIS Intersection, it shows 10,000' segment altitude. Is this a hard altitude? I mean, with GNSS, you don't have the reception issue that you would if you only used VOR/DME for this procedure, however there is...

So I'm under the hood, and this Instructor who is doing my IFR hates it when I ask this before turning. Now, shouldn't I ask this, especially for the ride???

CAP Question
Hello
In reference to the RNAV (GNSS) RWY 08 at CYKF, does anyone know why they publish the numbers in brackets (Minima Box) with respect to Height Above Threshold, instead of Height Above TDZE? Makes a difference of a few feet, just wondering the reason.
Thanks for your input

If nobody paid them, what are they gonna do? Suspend everyone? Think about it.
