Re: Air canada axes 30 routes

Air Georgian 2.0 will come to the rescue! Air Georgian 1.0 was a disaster also. They did well with the 1900's but once they went RJ it was all down hill. They took all their good 1900 AME's for the RJ and the 1900's went down hill fast. Sad times out east. The 1900D's got old (+20 years & lots of c...

That run was short lived. I flew on it once from YFB. Much better than the Yfb-yow-...-HYZ-yyt. I can deal with 1900 seats for that long. All and all wasn't bad.

The course when I did it was 3 years and gave you a great!!!!!! overall training. on M, E &S stuff and gave you accreditation on all 3. 21 months was the most you could get. Familiar.... In my case being familiar is more about being familiar with the apprentices ability to find the correct info and complete a task, ask the right questions and knows when to ask for help. ANy task that calls for disassembly, I will always have a look at prior to close up. I'm a big suppor...

Guess what is the first thing you do when you drop Krazy glue in your eye from above your head....blink....then Panic!!!!! A guy from work did this. A great day after they figured out his eye would be OK. Turns out a good rinsing and some drops sorted it all out. He will never live it down.

I work at a shop in SWO. We start them anywhere from 15-18 with schooling. "Untrained" installers at 13-16 to start. I caution you on putting training into an employee from toronto as they just want to get back to AC in YYZ. I see it here all the time. Hire locally you will be much better off, for a...

For removing tyewraps without damaging wires, use a wire spoon, feed the spoon in and push you cutters into the spoon...cut. they are $6 and fixing a wire costs much more in labor. Stuck screws. use mouse's milk and to for lunch, come back and it comes out... or snapon socket/flute extractors....or a...

Best kept secret!!! Napa sells ultra pro 12 point sockets both deep and shallow for about $30/set. The best deal around. I've had mine almost 8 years now and never returned any. Snapon ratcheting screwdriver, hard handle is best. ~$50 mastercraft bit ratchet ~$15 wrenches, wait for the half price sa...

Even if you have M1/M2 you cannot sign E or S specialized maintenance unless.... the AMO (internally) proves you have enough relevant experience in that field. How do they prove that...Logbook, was the only way I could think of. If TC ever audited your company and found you did not have the experie...

I worked in a paint shop and was responsible for paint quality. Bad prep work or contamination is the cause of this. Usually failure wipe down the aircraft prior to applying the first coat after primer. This is not the end of the world. The best solution for you and the paint shop is to sand the are...

And you will work for every penny...Buy the BIG bottle of Tylenol! and make sure they give you the best cell phone possible, you're gonna need it,,,, both.

Best of luck.

Try red river college in Red River MB. They do a couple courses per year all your exams are done there including cars at the end. Very good set up and I think you can do just certain tests if you have already passed some exams. I think it's like 1.5 weeks per section then the test.

Good luck!

I worked in a paint shop/AMO. Completely dependent on what it is covering and where. SRM is always #1. If nothing applies use AC43.13... but be cautious aerodynamic fillers should not be used in the areas forward of the engines/prop due to adhesision issues unless the SRM says it can be used in thos...
