Re: Now I got accreditation from TC. What do I do with it?

Hey Heliian. Again Thanks for your feel back. I should respect you every single way because you are coming from Centennial College. We all welcome you coming back to hire more of us or to share your aviation success story face to face. I do what I say, and I practice what I preach. Do you, Mr. Helii...

Re: Now I got accreditation from TC. What do I do with it?

Good to hear that I am right. Fellow students, think about what you going to do after graduation and make informed decision. If you still think aviation is for you, go ahead but don't let anyone tell you it is going to be easy. If you head into a dead end now, don't give up. The sky is literally bri...

Re: Now I got accreditation from TC. What do I do with it?

Thanks Troubleshot and Pat Richards. I will not give up aviation. I was lucky to get way well prepared to handle this SH1Tango before I started schooling. (I am really fine. For real. Thanks again.) But not every students know what they are stepping into. I remembered in a saying in "Walking Dead", ...

Re: Now I got accreditation from TC. What do I do with it?

First of all, thank you very much for positive comments (for most people). Look outside of Toronto? That was exactly what I did 2 years ago. Even a little bit further. I really saw how young aviation professionals are being treated inside and outside of Canada. And I know that I will not be treated ...

Re: Now I got accreditation from TC. What do I do with it?

Thanks dashx and Floatr for providing positive feed back. Others are not so helpful. There is nothing wrong with Centennial College. Most teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. What I felt is so much negative energy from the Canadian aviation industry. Canadian AMEs are not helping others AMEs...

Now I got accreditation from TC. What do I do with it?

Hi: I graduated from aviation maintenance and got accreditation. What can I really do with it? I know that you can deduct time on your apprentice period. However, what will happen if I cannot find an AME apprentice job. Is it really useless? Can I convert it to A&P? Anyone had worked in the USA righ...

AME M + S + E license. Is it worthwhile? impressive or not

If someone has a M + S + E education out of college, I am sure it is a positive thing. But is it worthwhile? Had anybody done this route before? How about M + E? or M + S?

choosing between M1 and M2?? for new beginner

My goal is to get into M2 aircraft. After doing some research, having the M2 license alone doesn't get you anywhere without any type endorsements. Type endorsement courses are expensive and employers do not want to pay for those unless they feel very confidence about the employee. Is it better to fi...

Good insight. It all depends on who you work with.
I guess it is very important to find the right employer ....the very first time ...

What is a typical time to gain an AME license?

What is a typical time to gain an AME license after graduation? Urban legend had told me that it takes a longgggggggggggggggggggg time. Especially the avionics license. 2 to 3 years after graduation is just a dream. Is it much more than that? 2 to 3 times more? Is TCCA too tough?? and/or the employe...

Re: ICS course & OM category

Hi Windigo: I tried contacted them (ICS Canada) a while ago regarding whether I need to take Transport Canada's technical exams after completion of their courses. They never gave me back any answers. If you do not need to be certificated and you don't need practical college experience, I would recom...

Differences between an FAA repairman and FAA A&P?

Anyone knows the differences between FAA repairman and A&P?
Does TCCA recognize any work experience as an FAA repairman in the US?
Do we (Canada) has a repairman certificate (or something similar)?

Re: Does TCCA accept courses from two different ATOs?

I think most colleges do not recognize one another credit. I asked one college that I'm interested in and their answer is no. They do not provide transfer credits between ATOs.

Does TCCA accept courses from two different ATOs?

I wonder if Transport Canada will accept courses that I took in one AME ATO in combination of other courses that I took in another AME ATO for licensing purpose. (i.e. taking some courses in BCIT and some courses in Centennial for the bases of my basic training)

I am a 1st year AME-M student. My AME prof told me today that we cannot use normal car wax. I am not certain, I think the car wax create static electricity. What are the special waxes approved by FAA and TC?

I'm in Ontario. (but perhaps going to USA for aviation jobs upon graduation) Perhaps due to USA economic influence....
