Mounting a GoPro on a Cherokee Six

Before going ahead and mounting a GoPro somewhere inappropriate on my PA32-300, does anyone have experience on the best external point to place it? (I don't want it in the cabin.)
Thanks.

Re: CYKZ (Toronto/Buttonville)

My initial posting, brief as it was, was the bare bones of a news release issued Dec. 18 by Cadillac Fairview, Armadale and Toronto Airways. Here, for those who are interested, is the entire news release . . . December 18, 2014 11:44 AM Buttonville Airport to continue operations into late 2016 TORON...

CYKZ (Toronto/Buttonville)

The Cadillac Fairview Corporation, Armadale and Toronto Airways have announced that the Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport will continue in operation until at least the fall of 2016. The outlook for extensions beyond that date will be dictated by progress on political approvals.

Re: Great Places to fly to from Toronto

The thread began with a junior pilot asking for destinations within easy reach of Toronto for, presumably, the "$100 hamburger". Oshkosh, while amazing, is good for a week during the dog days of summer... and takes longer than an hour to get there. I'm surprised that not mentioned on the list of eas...

Don't forget Kitchener-Waterloo, Brampton and Hanover. All are terrific spots, easy to get to and good food.

A new chairman of the board is in place while the search now begins for a new president.
It's a start at rehabilitating what once was -- and can be again -- an ethical association.

Re: COPA leadership question

The general wisdom -- enunciated by association presidents of my acquaintance -- is that those who hold that position should do so for an average of 5 to 7 years, and no longer than 10 years.
I cannot, however, point to any substantive research that confirms those opinions.

Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

I appreciate that while the question is Ronan's to answer, it's not hard to imagine a small business owner or a salaried individual being threatened by a lawyer representing a client with deep pockets. Before the principle of the dispute, he would have to look at the ensuing financial nightmare shou...

Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

Yes, Hayes has resigned effective, as I understand it, at the next general meeting (June, Peterborough) but that doesn't address the character assassination perpetrated on Doug Ronan. He may be a pain in the ass, he may have annoyed Hayes, president Kevin Psutka and the COPA Directors immensely, but...

Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

Months after the fact of the COPA Board's incredibly tacky withdrawal of Ronan's membership and, as a consequence, the legitimacy of his being the Southern Ontario COPA Director, I've finally been allowed to resign my membership in protest. Mind you, my "resignation" comes about only because my memb...

Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

Liking Kevin Psutka or the COPA people or how things are makes an earlier poster's point that too many COPA members are okay with not knowing and not knowing they're not knowing about the events that lead to Doug Ronan's expulsion from the board; still a hot issue with a large number of people in hi...

Changes to the COPA insurance program and the appearance of some kissing and

observing that they are interesting developments, what?

Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

Floatplaneflyer made this observation: "The perception in Ottawa and by Transport Canada has to be that as long as the members of COPA can buy lower cost insurance and get a copy "COPA Flight" once a month they could care less about what agenda COPA has or who makes the decisions." Harsh but true. T...

Re: Things pilot say but don't really mean

Flying around the patch here, the #1 totally useless word heard over and over again on 122.8 is currently, e.g. "Orillia traffic, XXX is currently over the town of Brechin." Currently is a waste of breath, air-time and adds nothing to the transmission. You're either over the point or you're not. Bet...

Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

Presumably all COPA members have now received their August editions of COPA Flight, the association's monthly newspaper. Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

The mute mutt is COPA. For Mr. Psutka to tell a contributor to this forum that the letter from Mr. Hayes says it all is decidedly dodgy. Instead, it's the equivalent of a child's simple excuse of "Because" when challenged It doesn't wash . . . but the silence seems to be working for them. Psutka et ...

The tragedy of this is the naive and/or astoundingly stupid editors and the anchor for taking these absurd names to air.
The accurate dissemination of news by broadcast journalists has just taken a big hit.

Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

This gets wackier and wackier.
Presumably COPA board members are also reading all this but, so far, we've had only a broad-based statement from the COPA Board Chair that was long on rhetoric, short on fact and emphatic about the president's non-involvement.
Some housecleaning is in order.

"Smoothie."
My wife, the agoraphobic, got herself all sedated for the ride to Oshkosh, and was amazed at how smoothly the Cherokee Six flies.
Hence, Smoothie.
