Re: Wasaya

Don't do it man. I was at Wasaya for 6 months in 2018. I wanted to quit after Day 1. Very, very bad company. On par with EVAS. The union is horrible as well. Didn't have any time at all for my grievances. Union Reps are flying the -300 Goldcorp plane so they have it good and don't care about any one...

Re: Evas

I used to work at EVAS but got fired for writing a safety report. Never changed. Never will. TC does care if you pressure them enough. I got the enforcement Division involved and the company and DFO was fined. Keep your records, record conversations and you'll help peck away at these disgusting peop...

Placement After Successful Application

Hello all,

What does NavCanada do now for placing successful applicants after they're hired? Does NavCanada choose where I would go or do I get to choose?

Also, the in person assessment, whichever region that is held in, is that the region you will be assigned to?

Thanks,
TPIR

Re: Companies repeatedly posting

Instructors are much more easily trained than a 200hr pilot. They also learn by themselves much better and generally require less hand holding. That is a very bold statement. On what facts are you basing it on? Our company experience is almost exactly the opposite. Some of the colleges turn out a g...

Re: Westwind FO Job Ad

Hello, I'm looking for an update on the B1900 F/O side, specifically YXE based: - What's the current salary? - What's the schedule like? - How many hours are flown per month on average? - Do pilots fly both the C and D models? - What's the expected upgrade time? - How is the overall morale? Thanks ...

Re: Per Diems

Per diems are not salary. Simple as that. Look at it this way, if you are going to buy a car, you can't count your per diems toward financing. Per diems are never a guaranteed amount. If you are trying to tell yourself that you're making the right decision by going to regionals, then convince yourse...

Citation 550

Hello all,

I was curious what your thoughts are on what the "max" is for a pilot's height to get in and out of the citation 550 cockpit. How tall is too tall?

Thanks,

Re: EVAS Air

Got some of the latest intel from the pride of the east. Can someone from EVAS confirm that EVAS is supposed to have a spare aircraft at each base? Looks like, according to an inside source, that they only have 2 planes in the Halifax base now doing the work that 3 should be. Looks like they're str...

NavCanada Application

Hey all, I just applied to NavCanada. I passed the initial online exam. They say next step is for me to get an invite for an in person session if I qualified. Can anyone give me an idea on the whole process from here on in, and how long it is taking applicants to get to the offer stage. Any tips can...

Re: EVAS Air

I personally find it entertaining the ratios of views on the EVAS FO posting compared to the EVAS Capt posting. Anyone with enough experience in the industry, and knowledge of EVAS, knows not even to open the posting most likely applicable to them, the Captain. What happened to their career progress...

Re: EVAS Air

This is the first I've heard of the takeover. Is this just scuttlebutt or an actual probable scenario?

Not that it affects me, but it would be interesting nonetheless.

EVAS Air

Looks like the thread has been pulled. I heard they're looking for Captains there. Are people leaving or is the company expanding?
