Re: The F-35 is not dead
G'day "Fantino is only the latest in a long history of defence ministers hung out to dry by their own department" One slight problem with this statement. Fantino was never the Defence Minister. Cheers...Chris Indeed, "associate minister of defence". Completely different. I bet he's never even met t...

End rant. BBB That was a good one. I agree that not all are bad, but I have never had a good experience flying in the same area as a C130! Somewhat off-topic... but normally I'd be one of the last to come to the defense of the military, but I remember when I was a student pilot and got a lit...

Re: Worst experience with wake turbulence
I remember sitting in a C150 holding short around the midpoint of the long runway at YXU and watching a butterfly experience the wonders of a B-1's turbulence... I also remember that for a few moments I couldn't even hear or feel the engine of the Cessna over the B-1's afterburners... Amazing.

For all intensive purposes its the same thing. You should of not let it bother you, your just out to find escape goats for everything! Irregardless of what you think it is, other people will have they're own reasons for pronouncing it that way. I could care less, it's a mute point. You really shoul...

Re: Underwater Cessna?
More than likely this is a case of two images being "stitched" on top of one another - I think this is particularly likely given that it's at the edge of another image just to the southwest. Also the aircraft is on a direct line with the runway at the airport to the west... probably not a coincidenc...

Yeah, I suppose you're right - I forgot how bad the military-industrial complex is with delivering on-time. Oh, and speaking of that... They're rushing the F-35 out the door without proper testing. Seems like the best bet for Canada, for sure! http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2011/11/joint-str...

Hell by 2020 manned fighters will likely be replaced with manless equipment anyway. Its the same mindless people who bought those British yard sale Subs. I doubt you'll see an Unmanned Fighter by 2020. I can't really see the point in arguing about this anymore since the Conservatives are going to w...

According to the wiki: Riel sought to preserve Métis rights and culture as their homelands in the Northwest came progressively under the Canadian sphere of influence. And for this, Louis Riel was hanged for treason in Canada. If Riel committed treason, the Bloc Quebecois is far worse. No charges la...

When I was a rampie a few years ago, I got one of the co-pilots with this one: He called in on the radio to give his off/eta times, and I responded by asking him if he loaded the Henway on the plane before he left. Silence. I asked him again, stating that it was on the manifest, and I wanted to mak...
