You can change the use of the column. Prove your 200+ Copilot xcountry and then use it for something else.

Ok. Beyond all the BS. Go and get her a fam flight at the local flying club. She’ll get to meet and fly with a pilot. Where are you located?

Or go ID90? It’s a little more but your no longer bound by the jumpseat rules. Most of my
Jumpseat airlines are also available via ID90.

Re: Boeing Max.
There are currently over 5000 outstanding orders on the books for the 737-MAX of all types with nothing to replace them with. Airbus is failing to meet order dates in the 320 NEO so to go to the back of the line is not an option to expand A new narrow body would take a decade or so to get certified....

Just take a few sections out of the 400. Same engine wing prop etc. Derate the engines and bobs your uncle. Probably 95%+ parts commonality and if it’s as similar to the Q flight crews might be able to hope from one to another.

The one thing I will add is if you have the money to get done faster, do it! I managed zero to Multi IFR in about 18 months and I am no super bright superstar. The quicker you get the CPL the quicker you can get a job.

Re: Price/demand for free lance instructors.
Well I have heard a second hand anecdote of a similar price at a flying school. Though it was a dishonest instructor taking additional cash from a student over and above the schools price of about $100/hr. I heard this from the so called student and suggest that this was not a good route for you or ...

Re: C 172 checklist Canada vs US
My plane's checklists were written by the previous owners and closely follow the format and content of the flying school that taught them (and me) to fly. They're on the long side. I'm starting to write up new checklists. The old ones are lengthy and don't reflect some recent upgrades (GPS, engine ...

Re: C 172 checklist Canada vs US
Flight schools in Canada love to have super long and elaborate checklists that are useless. Things like Primer --- Locked. Well if you have not touched it since you started the engine, its still locked. Circuit Breakers --- IN. If everything is working then there in, you'll notice if one has popped ...

First of all take a deep breath and relax. I have had a similar situation . You know mcshock's girlfriend!! :O Badum tuss. No... However I will add what others have said, if your CAME is not helping with this and just sending you on your way I would find another CAME. Mine was super helpful in maki...

Re: Didn't pass Cat 1 medical, what is going to happen next..?
First of all take a deep breath and relax. I have had a similar situation. There are really four possible outcomes here, 1. Least likely is a false positive. Though I don't think the girlfriend activities would cause that, the little test strips don't have a long shelf life and unless the Dr. used a...

Re: Class 1 medical for cpl training
I would just go and spend the money now, on the off chance they find something disqualifying or that requires some time and doctors visits to get a stamp on your Cat 1. If your thinking about getting a CPL, it is what an hour maybe 1 1/2 hours in the air?

Re: Harbour Air switching to battery powered planes
I laugh at all the nay sayers... we need to stick to our 100 year old piston engines damit. Probably would have said the same thing when the first turbojets showed up. Time between overhaul is too short! The internal tmerpatures are too hot! The tolerances are to tight! The fuel burn is too high! Lo...

Re: KD Air not flying
Quite sad, Lars and Diane had KD Air dialed in and ran it well for years. They did not try to over expand, they stuck with a program that was safe and reliable. Infact they were the first commercial operation approved for GPS approaches in Canada! Not bad for a little Navajo operator. There schedule...

Re: Assistance compressing a large PDF file
Yes alas what you have is not really a PDF but 187 jpegs that are held in a PDF file, so there is not much compression that can go on. Use dropbox or google drive or apple icloud and you can host and have as many friends download the file as you like for free. Really a couple hundred megs these days...

No you need a Multi Engine Raiting, and then can do a Multi IFR flight test. Essentially adding IFR to aircraft you already can fly VFR. Think of IFR as a skill set you add to aircraft you can fly already.
