Re: Lost a PC-6 to rebel activity, missing pilot!

Looks like the pilot has not made it home! Sad deal! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nduga_hostage_crisis https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-07-06/joko-widodo-papua-nz-pilot-hostage-saga-philip-mehrtens/102565742 Maybe try wording things differently, like it looks like the pilot is still being held. I just had a 62 yr old retired buddy who knocked off his ATPL go to a jet company and fly an Airbus. Your are never to old if you have the right paper or qualifications and attitude.

"I always found it odd that RCMP chose to go with a single engine PC-12 in the North, not to hint this incident was because of that. I had the chance to fly one in Nunavut, many moons ago. Nope. No thanks. I'm glad I stuck to a King Air instead." I love the King air as well, but it seems to have a c...

Not if you are trying to Justify your job or budget to a dim-witted Canadian population. I thought the same.

Re: Lost another PC-6 to rebels, missing pilot!

Last month after a technical stop in Greece, the last PC6 Porter ever to be build crashed in the ocean killing one pilot. Sad deal. It has been a tough year on Porter accidents. Police in SA had a wing come off, killing 5 etc. Since the locals snatched the guy, I thought it was a fitting title. Some...

But, go on. Keep supporting the only PM in the history of this nation to break the ethics laws, and he's done it multiple times, because you are afraid something might change. Re: Trudeau’s proposed luxury tax…

That 2018 thing is truly stupid, so the biggest country on the Planet, one cannot buy a new Aircraft with out getting his ass taxed off? Makes zero sense, so Canadians don't get the benefits of the newest safety tech, like auto land, glass cockpits, new autopilots, etc. Man these liberal @#$! heads ...

Pretty hard to pass up a government pension? The only people getting ahead lately as society shifts Left, seem to be government employees and cops. There sure seems to be a lot of them driving around, anyway, it sure looks like good work if you can get it.

If they can put ADSB in a nav light, I am sure someone there is a solution to this, I thought there is a micro drone transponder out. Use a solar panel or a disposable battery? Lovely ideas, but when you suggest mandating something you ought to know for sure the technology is mature, available, aff...

No pilot shortage. NEW normal. Stop climate change. Ban airlines. We as individuals aren't capable of making health choices. Just like we need government to save us with mask and vaccine policy we also need our government to step up and ban flying for leasure purposes. Let's hope Trudeau is elected...
