Re: More grist for the F18 replacement mill..

What Canada really needs but unfortunately cannot afford and is out of production at this time is the F22 Raptor.

Trump, the Republicans and Boeing are all liars... The MAX needs to be re-certified and pilots need to get the proper training both in class and in the sim before this thing is allowed to fly again, period! These pilots knew what was coming and yet they couldn't get control over the MAX until they ...

The Comet crashed because of metal fatigue something not well known then and yes passengers and crews paid dearly for it and so did the plane. Like I said this was an aircraft company that came out with outstanding aircrafts in the past, the 747 will probably one of its greatest aircraft ever. It wa...

The first bounce was at 2.55Gs. The second bounce was at 5.85Gs and the third and final one was also above 5Gs... No wonder the aircraft broke apart and the fuel started to come out of the ruptured fuel tanks and ignite. More info... Crashed Superjet's pitch fluctuated before fatal touchdown •18 May...

Oh, oh. Based on the replies, it looks like I may have discovered some of the people that are the type to block escape from a burning aircraft due to retrieving their valuables. I don’t know pelmet and I don’t know how he is trying to convey his message but I tell you what... whether it be stupid language laws that force French signs to be twice the size of English..... Actually your statement is not accurate! It's not the size of the sign but the size of the writing on the sign that matters and it is not twice as big but three times the size. As for the rest of your po...

Re: 1000 hrs ! ??

Can we know who's in the race?

The only year I flew that much was on the DHC-7 at City Express... 1200 hours a year and believe me if they could made us fly more we would have been close to 1500 hours.

We used to get called daily by screw sked to see how many hours on that day we could give them.

It's as bad as those phsycho Air Canada pilots still monumentally pissed 20 years later that they didn't get to destroy the careers of their peers at Canadian and instead were expected to act like adults and make the best of an unfortunate situation. Re: Ethiopian Airlines: 'No survivors' on crashed Boeing 737 max

MCAS is not even programmed in the 737 Max sim, the closest thing it can replicate is a stabilizer trim run-away. Well it is just a software issue and can be fixed! Oh wait Boeing said that but I guess that can be applied to a sim too. You know what... I hope TC sticks to its guns and demands sim t...

I can’t believe the amount of pilots that are defending Boeing and the 737 MAX. It’s obvious its MCAS system is poorly designed and can lead to crashes. Now even the CEO of Boeing is admitting to this... check out the video. Boeing is in deep poo poo and now they are trying to save their name, their...

Wait!

You are saying the VOR freq was tuned on NAV 1 during the approach?

Was the DME on NAV 2 on hold or they basically never used NAV 2 for reference/guidance for the approach?

I thought they were doing a LOC approach?

Re: Ethiopian Airlines: 'No survivors' on crashed Boeing 737 max

I was surprised to see that the latest versions of the 737 are still equipped with dual everything as opposed to triple redundancy on just about every other aircraft. Boeing has no redundancy on some parts. MCAS for example, works with ONLY the left side AOA probe. No comparison, so agreement requi...

Yeah the same way we the people financed a poorly runned national airline for more than 50 years. Found this on another forum and I don’t know how accurate the info is... You do realize the MAX8 was to be given a different type rating but MCAS was the solution to allow Boeing and the carriers to get around that so no new type rating was required for their pilots. Only a couple hours training on ...
