Re: Pilots Support Retirement

Ah!!!The magic of numbers interpretation. We could say in the last 10 years over 1000 pilots retired at AC but only less then 150 complain about forced retirement which mean only 15% dissaprove the present system.

Re: Jazz pilots contract?

"Results are in: 90.6% of the eligible pilots voted with 98.73% voting in FAVOUR of a strike"

Congratulation first on voter turnout which is excellent.

If management do not get this clear message then they should be replace.

You guys are all on the same page, great show of unity.

Good luck.

Re: Jazz pilots contract?

Prop2jets: ''I suggest you take some time and watch the Frontline documentary that outlined many issues faced by regional pilots south of the border'' I did watch the program. The worst case of 'abuse' is the ridiculous low pay new hired FO in the US have to start up at (pay 21-25/h X70= X12= 17500-...

Prop2jet: ''The current cash distribution is $0.60/unit on an annual basis and JR has said he wants this to continue as they convert to a corporation later this year. One of the most profitable airlines in history, Southwest currently pays a dividend of $0.02 / share.'' Don't you think those numbers...

Re: Jazz pilots contract?

Thanks Teacher for the explanation. Many made a career choice to fly at Jazz. It is a personnal choice and i respect it. You now have a status pay system that allow the choice of working conditions whitout having to compromise your pay. You have a good contract (with reserve rules better than those ...

Re: Air Canada

If you poll Jazz pilots on how much they are the willing to give up to save the mainline pilots job you will most likely get the same results as polling the mainline pilots to how much they are willing to give up to save the Jazz pilots jobs.

Sad reality

[quote]Considering that we all took paycuts and quite a few were laid off (myself included) to keep the company afloat, it is a pretty sad pace.[quote]

We all took pay cuts to save our own jobs either at AC or Jazz.
