Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

I've applied to the position a couple of times and received a message saying that I would be receiving a confirmation email. I've checked my spam and every other mailbox but this email has never arrived. Has anyone else experienced this? Had the same problem as well... certain email servers don't w...

He’ll be “further ahead” based off his projected 6 million YouTube followers and the income from that  Keith... you realize that if you started at AC today, in 5 years you’d be making around a minimum ( again, MINIMUM, on the a220) $115 an hour as an FO. Meanwhile your 5th year rate at Jazz wou...

Im sure the “10 thousand and whatever” a month working “minimal overtime” should keep you happy... sir. You would have been doing over 100 credit to do that as a second year Captain. Don’t kid yourself Looking forward to your next video, please make it about why regionals are better than mainline ca...

They’re not monsters. An email is completely fine, they are not going to pfo you because you followed up. That’s some next level stupidity

Re: Airline lifestyle

Sure 40k + per diems = 50k ish. but you get quite a lot of that taken away by deductions at Jazz. You’ll be lucky to take home 2000 a month without per diems in your first year.

Re: New hire bids

To be fair, at least AC gives you a few days to figure it out and talk it over with the ones who it’ll affect.

Jazz was just a simple “you got 24 hours good luck”, which to me was unexpected.

YYZ Viscount parking lot, Level 5, 15:00.

Let's see some real taxable benefits.
Better show up an hour early to find a parking spot!

Some recent new hires off the street were in the 2000 range. Mind you they checked off the aviation university box and 705 experience.

Re: Any chance we just lost our AC flow?

I’m sure you’re aware that this deal will not simply take place overnight. It may be signed in the next 30 days, but there is still months of stuff that needs to happen before the deal is officially closed. The max will be flying by then! (I hope )

Re: Any chance we just lost our AC flow?

Everyone needs to relax !

Let the deal actually be signed first. And AC isn’t just taking 550 pilots with no aircraft, the planes are coming too. AC will still be short pilots regardless.

I know of a few individuals who interviewed mid march, received calls last week of April for a May 20th GS. Just in terms of where they might be for interview vs ground school offering time.
