Night Flying - Airport Lighting
Just wondering if I am the only one that has noticed that an Airport in a densely populated area is the hardest thing to see. I have yet to fly into a city where the Airport is the easiest thing to see. The average mall, ware house, or city street has brighter lights then an Airports. You pretty muc...

Never Gonna Happen? Lockheed L-1011 X2... But I would specifically take an EX PS/WG with the lower galley and built in airstairs. PS: xchox... The Cessna excluded... your other 3 dream machines are about the same purchase price... Just saying. ;) http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/59/6b/94/596b...

Re: Bombardier's uncertain future
L1011, the 300/350 is completely different than the Challenger 604/605. The 300 is about as "clean sheet" as you can get. And I guess you've never heard of the Lear 45? Also a clean sheet design. And the Lear 85 may "look" like a Learjet that's where the similarity ends. It's like saying the Beech ...

Re: Bombardier's uncertain future
I should know I have flown the DHC-7, DHC-8, Hawker 125 series, the Challenger 601/604 and the Global. Did you want me to get you that cookie now or later? LOL I guess every airplane is a derivative of the Wright Flyer..... True. Helicopters even use basic airfoil design in their rotorblades. Not t...

Re: Bombardier's uncertain future
Those that are stating that the Lear 85, Global 7000/8000 and the C-Series are not "clean sheet" designs, don't have a clue. And how about the Challenger 300/350? And to a very high degree the entire Global line? Do you remember seeing those wings or those avionics or engines on previous Bombardier...

Re: DC8 fifth engine ferry
Not uncommon to see this. L-1011 did it too: F*&k yeah I did it. lol All joking aside, Many aircraft ferry engines right on the wing due to a lack of service centers or ability to get an engine to the AOG aircraft. Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
I don't have time to read everything in this thread... But when I first heard of "College of Pilots"... "College" I think of hokey 2am infomercials on how a course changed a persons life by simply attending night courses twice a week for 2 months. And when you throw in "College" and "Pilots" into t...

Re: Brazil picks Gripen NG over Super Hornet after US spying
Considering where they can be based from... You can put them everywhere... A lot better then Cold Lake and Bagotville. And at the cost of 50 F35's you could possibly get 100 Gripens. Base them from Resolute, Victoria, St. Johns Yellow Knife, Old Crow, Beaver Creek etc. and not just 2 locations in t...

I also have a full Precision Flight Control simulator set-up running ASA Training software for IFR. I am thinking of selling everything.
As for basic controls, Saitek is your best bang for your buck deal going these days.

Re: IFR software for practice
FSX is better then X-Plane IMO I had X-Plane and got rid of it after a week, FSX uses real world information. I even tested the Simcoe VOR Morse (Toronto) and it was accurate. Also, FSX has hundreds of add-ons. I got the SIM as a Training Aid kit and it helped a lot. http://www.futureplatone.com/210...

That being said, should this fantasy ever take-off... It might be cheaper to just get an airline to donate a 767 and convert it to a ho...
