trey kule you are absolutely correct. However, I am only looking for general info for my own use, nothing specific, at least not until I actually start flying the aircraft.

Thanks!

Cessna 421B POH

Hello,

Would anyone by any chance have a Cessna 421B POH in word (.doc) or .pdf format? It's a long shot but worth a try.

Thanks!

Hello Sebas380 It's great to hear that you are considering a flight instructor rating. It's a great and fun way to kick-start a career in aviation, build some time and gain valuable experience in an aircraft. I did my flight instructor rating out of Ottawa Aviation Services and was hired right away ...

ah bon, now that u explain it flybabe it makes absolute sense and i agree with u. it can be seen as a career position... that being said, many career positions available to a pilot. i don't see myself sticking with just one; too much to get my hands on! Unless, of course, u can get me type rated on ...

I thought exploring different avenues in this industry was encouraged while working towards a goal. In my case, working for an airline down the road is my goal, unless I find something stable enough and enjoyable. I hardly doubt if I spent a few years with a company that it would be wasting anyone's...

Flying with the RCMP...

Good day folks, I hope all is well! I just had a few questions for those of you who fly or who have flown with the RCMP. (yes i've searched their websites, but how about some hands-on info?) What's it like to work there? What kind of flying is done? What kind of requirements do they have? Would a de...

Hello there, I started my flight training at The Ottawa Flying Club. Half-way through my training towards the private pilot license I discovered Ottawa Aviation Services (right next door to OFC) and stuck with them. They took me through the end of my PPL right through to my Commercial Pilot License,...

DME hold entry

Hello everyone. I've got another question, but this time regarding dme holds. Is it basically the same thing as holding at a vor station? Here's a clearance: FZLJ is cleared to hold IB 200 between 10 and 15dme of the MSS VOR. The whole pod thing, doesn't that only work if i'm heading directly for th...

Thanks for all the responses guys! Of course it makes to file to an airport, and it makes even more sense not to include that time in your eta as in the event of a comm failure you'd be stuck holding until that time.

Thanks again!
