Re: Licence numbers

Interesting. Mine ended with PA. 3xxxxx-PA

I thought that meant Private Airplane. Maybe it was Private Alberta.

As mentioned, in the ADB it only listed the six digit number.

Re: EAA AirVenture Oshkosh July 22-28 2019

I did not see this until now. I did not make it there again. Thank you for the offer. Three beers is quite a few these days but I managed it last week. Did you get there in time for the storms? I don't know how bad the flooding was in Camp Sholler but I suspect it dried out nicely after a few days. ...

Refurbished? I'd go with the RedBird I think.

Am I the only one who thinks the pt-6 should go in a C-172?

Did you sell the black bird? You need a nice Pitts.

A little less squirrelly and quite a bit less expensive than the Gee Bee.

Re: When to set off a PLB?

I like the SPOT or similar devices also. Of course you would not use these instead of a certified ELT but the more things you can get showing the way the better. Just like if you are on the ground signaling airplanes a mirror is best until sundown then a flare wins. Why not carry both? If I could sc...

Fuel maintenance and storage are just expensive now days. Sorry, it's kind of like groceries ...

Yeah that is pretty cool.

It's almost time at that point to just make it a single seater and fly it on board.

Re: Oshkosh 2016 - July 25 to 31

Sorry for neglecting my duty here.

Last year I just did not feel like driving the distance.
We will see this year. More likely to go to the EAA fly in in the north west.
I will alert you here if we do.

Re: RCAF History Forum

There sems to be a great deal of confusion about the fields in South Calgary. I believe Currie Barracks and Lincolin Park were one and the same. The runways East of Dewinton are shown some maps as RCAF Dewinton, and others show it as South Calgary. Yes, a flying school tried to operate at Dewinton,a...

Today's questions for Nark.
Did you find out why your lights were blinky?

And would you need a co pilot/swamper for this?

Re: Current Bird, Bucket List, Dream Job

Well, I went for my yearly check ride so I guess "nearly currently" I fly the mighty rental C-172

I won't call it bucket list because I'm not actively pursuing it. F-86 please.

I'd like to ferry light singles. Seems better than riding in rectangles with students.
