Re: Why does load block dash 8 flights for Weight and balance?
Max zero fuel weight actually comes into play a lot for the jumpseat with a full flight. Lots of bags + some cargo = no fun on the commute.

Re: TA ratification
Wow just a serious question. I have no skin in the game here. This poll just seems to skew the perception that there’s not a chance for a no vote.

Re: Summer Ground School
Many don’t come in with the PIC time requirements for the ATPL. Picus can only count for max100 hours PIC.

Re: Summer Ground School
Why would you upgrade and work worse pairings/extra days for only a little more $ especially if you aren’t sure of your future career trajectory. Part of the reason that AC is apparently having a much larger failure rate in captain upgrades. Captain experience is an investment in your skills that ca...

Re: Summer Ground School
Not telling anyone how to do anything. Just heard through the grapevine AC is having a trend toward higher captain upgrade failures. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that candidates with absolutely no pic time are having a hard time upgrading. It’s not all about flying. Some people Just have n...

Re: Summer Ground School
Sounds like a lot of excuses. How are you going to be a captain at AC with no command time with 5am reports with new hires if you can’t (won’t) do it at Jazz. Time in the left seat is the only way you’ll get that professional development.

Re: Is Jazz upgrading new hires with little to no type experience?
The previous arguement is it’s not safe at Jazz. Kick the can down the road another couple years and it’s the same argument at AC.

Just wait. Jazz guys going to Ac with no captain experience… EVER. Maybe can hold A220/737 Capt in 2 years or less??? What’s the argument there???

Re: New hire bids
Jazz itself won’t bankrupt Chorus. It’s a big company with other revenue streams. I wouldn’t be shocked if a change in Jazz ownership revenue is offset by additional leasing revenue etc.

Re: FO Private Jet or Jazz
Opportunity on a biz jet would expose you to something different early in your career. If you can instruct on the side, you can avoid the Atpl hell you may endure to upgrade at Jazz. I’d investigate the jet gig. Training bond?

I’ll pass on milk runs to Stony Rapids and Lac Brochet… fill your boots if that’s what you want for a better salary.

Just wear a long sleeve shirt to the interview if you are worried. There's a few guys at work with visible ink. Corporate might be a different game as I don't know much about any of their operations... I'd assume it's very highly personal there.

Re: Jazz Share Price
Wouldn't be surprised to see 6.50. dividend got increased to $0.04 a share per month. Although I'd like to see a drop before the match... Lower share price equals more units in the match.
