Re: B1900 or flight instruction?

I absolutely disagree. If I was a 705 recruiter and had a resume of a 1900 FO vs 172 instructor, I’m definitely taking the 1900 FO with IFR, multi crew, multi-engine and operational experience.
No brainer!

so your saying, flying in a circle on a Cessna builds better time than a 1900 FO..... :?

How would a 1900 " add nothing of value to your logbook" when your a freshly minted CPL MIFR starting out and trying to better your IFR/ 704 operational expereince?

Re: What would you do? Need help making a decision!

Flight college is not "go your own pace" like you would do privately. They are more rigorous and if you don't match up with the syllabus you can get the boot. Not to mention you do get a college diploma out of it and its WAY cheaper/faster. How's that working out for enrollees at Sault College? Not...

More recognized in the industry Recognized by whom? Also what qualifications does it confer that your pilot's license does not? By numerous airlines actually. If you refer to the hiring qualifications of AC for an example (because the OP said he eventually wanted to be there) states that an aviatio...

Get an aviation diploma specifically at confed. More recognized in the industry, faster, and is a way cheaper route.

Re: Seneca, Sault or Confederation for Flight Training?

Confederation College has recently partnered up with Jazz for their college partnership pathway program. Nonetheless all 3 programs will get you where you want to be. Cheers and goodluck! All relative in my opinion. Confederation is a 2 year program. Sault is 3. Seneca 4. Confederation you only get ...

FTGU is an excellent plan, also since you have been out of school for a while, reviewing advanced math and physics is also a great and important prep ! I too will be attending one of the subsidized flight colleges come September. Cheers and goodluck!

Thanks kev. I talked to a recruiter last year and she told me the total number of years I must serve is 12. Then I came looking on here and I got different responses for total years serve. Curious question. Would you recommend the military option?
