Re: Harbour Air

22 an hour to start on the beaver. 29 an hour is top scale. ($55,796 a year) 7 years from what I can remember. Top scale of the otter is $37.95 an hour....again after 7 years. ($73,015.80 a year). Not close to $90k. If I can find the pay scale (I have a photo of it somewhere) I will post the facts s...

I do get resumes from all over the world but I should have specified there's a growing number of entry level Canadian pilots typed on the 737. Weird, eh?

Re: Dumb Things You've Seen Today

Thought this could be a fun thread. Let's post dumb things, without naming names. Maybe somebody will learn from it. In YPM a last week it was 12c (that's +12 degrees) and these two Navajos landed and put engine tents on. When they left, it was 15c. I says.....DUMB Illya Hahaha Priceless!! do you t...

Re: Overdue Cargo Airplane Bound for CYXS

The search looks like its around Mt Seymore. Should be a great deal of resources in that area being so close to North Van, so lets hope for the best. https://twitter.com/wilfundal/status/587683276766236672/photo/1 Yeah right. The people in North Van are probably just upset that a plane made noise n...

Re: Companies that do not require Training bonds

HEy Guys, I would disagree, CMA charges a working bond (12months or 10K) on B1900D Starts from day you finish your PPC ride. You do not get paid anything until you complete training They have a bond or the Dornier as well but I think its 24m and 20k but I could be wrong Canadian North also has a wo...

I highly doubt you will see 80-85 hour blocks by then. Currently the average is 50. If it goes to 70. You'll most likely be paid around 70

Re: WestJet Mainline/Encore Hiring pool

The whole interview process is a crap shoot at any corporation. There is quite a bit of academic literature supporting the hypothesis that HR interviews have little more success than random selection. Of course the HR types would disagree. I imagine sim evals would be similar. Some people interview...

Re: WJ encore and the regionals

What is incorrect? If you take the FO rate from 80 to 70 credits. It brings you down to 32k the 1st Jan 2015. From an other avcanada post: WJ encore ( do the math for 85 hours). Min guarantee 80 hours until 01 Jan 2015 then reverts to 70 hours. Looks like WJ/Encore/WJPA Take this 10% indentured ser...

Ok I'll look into that. From what I understand they are using normal t/o, flap 17 numbers with the flaps MEL'd. Thanks for the responses

Balanced field length

Here's the scenario: B1900 Balanced field length numbers are based on flap 17 All other requirments are met as normal *flaps are INOP (MEL'd) at flap 0 setting You use the numbers v1, vr, v2,v enroute based on the above....so they are calculated based on flap 17 setting. Is this legal? What if you h...

Re: Harbour Air Seaplanes - DHC2 Pilot - SEASONAL???

Also, the current ad is their second ad in a months time looking for -2 driver. The ad on the company's website didn't state seasonal. Full time is all. In the past, if it was anything other than full time, HA would advertise it as part time. Again, a subtle difference, but still somewhat misleading...
