Re: Decent Places to live in Toronto near transit to Pearson
UP express stops on bloor as well near high park. High park is a great place to live and my top pick, though not cheap. Further east of Dundas, on bloor, would be close by too and likely cheaper. Bonus is you're on the subway line so getting downtown is easy too.

Re: Air Canada Pool
I'm sure what I'm about to say will just throw fuel on the fire, but here's my 2 cents... The whole point of the original PML was to shave off the top earners at Jazz and bring in fresh (cheap) labour at the bottom end. *That* was the point of the PML. However, with the wage drop for year 1 pilots a...

Re: ~ Sky Regional 2014 ~
Any idea what's happening with hiring at Sky? There was an ad for the EMB position a while back. How about the Q? Have calls gone out? Just wondering where things stand and what sort of experience they are hiring at the moment.
Thanks

What Postmastergeneral said is correct. I'm going back a little but I'm pretty sure the info is still accurate. Overall it's a good company to work for. Is it perfect? No. But then again no company is. As 703/704 jobs go it's decent. Most people are on a 14 on 14 off schedule. You travel on one of y...

Re: Encore Captain Upgrades
While we're on the topic I'm just curious as to what the matrix is? I understand it in principle but does anyone have more detail on the criteria? IE TT, MPIC, Time on type, etc.
Cheers

Re: New Hire Bases & Commuting
Sorry, I guess I should have been more specific, they are interviewing again. Not sure what the plan is for actual hiring, but thought someone on the inside might have some input.

New Hire Bases & Commuting
Hi guys,
any idea which bases the latest new hires are being sent to? Last year it was YYC. What are the chances of a YYZ base? For those of you in Jazz, based on an average schedule is it feasible to commute from say YYZ to YYC?
Thanks

Re: Quitting without a bond.
In the <12.5 world I think 1 yr is the most a company can expect a driver to commit to. Most aren't in that kind of airplane for the long haul. beyond 1 yr the company has made their money off your services and anything past 1 yr is a bonus for the company. In larger A/C or jets sometimes the expect...
