Re: Flying for hunting and fishing outfitters.
Thanks for all the help will certainly follow up on the leads you have given me, I have Beaver/Cessna piston and turbine float time, and C185, and some cub time on wheels and own a little tail dragger. Pretty handy with the tools, work in the hanger in the off season. Will try to get in with someone...

Flying for hunting and fishing outfitters.
Hi all, I have done a bit of searching on here, just trying to find some information on Hunting and fishing outfitters that operate their own aircraft. Found a few fishing camps with float machines but really fancy a tail wheel machine flying hunters about next season. If anyone has any info or has ...

Oh may consider a share of a machine in the future if it was the right set up.

Tailwheel machine to rent Vancouver, Cub, Scout, etc.
Hi, looking to rent a small tailwheel machine just for fun, maybe a bit of mountain flying, land on the odd beach etc. I am a commercial pilot with tailwheel/float experience and some off airport time, know how to look after a machine as I have quite a bit of wrench time in the hanger. Will consider...

Best cell phones for remote and countrywide use
Hi, I was over in CA a few months ago and did not really get to the bottom of this, what would the best cell phone service/deal be that can be used country wide with the least expense I guess. I could be anywhere in the country and don't know what you would all suggest, I will more than likely base ...

Re: What do I do?
Hey mate, if you check my other posts you will see I am not from Canada, but the advice I can give is from my personal experience. I have been in a few countries working, when I got my cpl a few years back I was lucky that I was older and therefore understood a little better how managers/cp's hired....

Re: Float gig this year
Thanks for the replies guys, no I have not converted just yet, getting held up abroad, things out of my control. Definitely prepared to work really hard, should arrive in to Vancouver in a month, not the plan but out of my control so really my license could be a long way away! However if it means I ...

Re: Temporary CPL issue whilst foreign license is processed.
Thanks for all the input, sounds like with the right AP and flying school and the wind behind you you may get some sort of validation/temp approval, but it is what it is, I can only ask, fill in the right forms and cross my fingers I guess. Cheers

Anyone offer any advice, I would be most appreciative. I certainly have helped a few Canadians out whilst in my part of the world and trying to find their feet.

Re: Temporary CPL issue whilst foreign license is processed.
Thanks for your reply, I will try very hard to get a temp but if it's a no go then a bit of a holiday is in order to meet some operators and do some fishing.

Re: Temporary CPL issue whilst foreign license is processed.
Thanks for that, my mate has only just had a temp license issued whilst going through that process recently but it was a heli cpl, would not think there was much difference. No problem what happens happens, just seeing if I can speed the process, thanks for the replies.

Re: Temporary CPL issue whilst foreign license is processed.
This is why I asked, I have not submitted it yet as I am not in country, so I can pay $40 to get a temp license? If that is the case then problem solved. I have emailed them and tried to get them on the phone but its pretty hard to get a straight answer.
Thanks for your help

Temporary CPL issue whilst foreign license is processed.
Hi does anyone know which flying schools can issue a temporary cpl or permit to fly commercially whilst my foreign license gets processed at TC. A friend has been through the process but is a Helicopter driver so his school cannot help, preferably a school in BC or Alberta. I understand it can take ...
