Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Atleast 200 plus pilots need to be hired in the fall. June 18th gs took some exp and some OTS. Jet time was an asset for the upcoming GS. It will likely be the only GS for the summer. Every year AC slows down hiring for the summer. This year isn't an exception. Good luck to all who applied :) [/quo

Re: Swoop Blacklist

This reminds me of that moment in 2013 when everybody at AC complained at giving up the 15 E175 to sky regional, you all remember that massive thread that lasted for a while. 5 years later nobody remembers that fight anymore..And guess what all these E175 skippers are willing to do exactly the same ...

Thanks for all the info. So is there any GS planned for this winter or not? Usually the TFWs come in around this time of the year. Anyone?

Plenty of interview spots for OTS? No I dont think so.
E-mails have started going out for phone interviews for OTS pilots last week. Everybody I know who got the email has post secondary and 705 time.

Re: Air Canada Pool

Just my 2 cents on the OTS hiring. Once Jazz's pml is exhausted, AC will most likely, although nothing is set in stone, hire from its 4 regional partners up to a total of 80%. It does leave 20% for the OTS. Again, most likely, within the 80% coming from the express feeders, the distribution will go ...

Re: jazz Crew Requirements Jan. 2016

How does a bid work?
This one doesn't show any classic or RJ positions. Does this mean that every classic or RJ pilot moving on to AC will not be replaced?
Does this mean that a Q4 pilot wanting to bid te RJ won't be able to do so?
I'm a little confused

Re: The next PML wave

100% agree with Hyperdrive. If mainline continues to pfo people over the phone interview, they can plan on a mass exodus to Transat, Sunwing and overseas. Lots of disgruntled captains at the express level.

Re: Air Canada Pool

Any word on what the mix was for the Nov course? I'm assuming 80% Jazz, what about the others? Poolies, ggn or Sky? Nice to see some sustained hiring. One skyregional pilot on the Nov PIT course. 2 in the Oct one, so far 3 have gone to AC. Did they "flow through" based on seniority or was it just m...

Re: Air Canada Pool

Yes Jazz pilots, you still have access to 80% of the AC ground schools. Sky and GGN are occupying the other 20%. I belieive 2 GGN and 2 Sky pilots are on the next AC ground school. From what I hear a lot of Jazz pilots are differing so making it very difficult to plan. So for the October one? Novem...
