Re: Zed Fares

It will go through our travel desk for the first little bit but i'm pushing hard to avoid that. It won't be the 'wait for 2 weeks' thing anymore at least and you can get your tickets right away. It will go to an online portal ASAP I just think they want to get comfortable with it. pic 777, I would t...

Re: Zed Fares

Hi, I know beacuse I am on the Standby Travel Committee. It's actually been pushed off to Sept. I don't know which airlines we'll get right out of the box, but, I think Jetblue, SWA, and Cathay to start along with a few of our already other partners. We are attending the ZED conference in OCT in Gen...

Jumpseat

It is what it is. I don't see where jumpseat agreements have suffered beacuse of the 2.50 fare. Some places we get charged, some we don't. It's our choice to ride on another carrier and we have to live by their rules, we should be gratefull for even getting the opourtunity. It would be nice for the ...

Way too early to tell. Ask three days before departure date and there is a good chance someone will be able to tell you.

For myself, the ramp guys (contract) in YYZ are pretty much always there on time and the bags get loaded on time as well. I can't speak for the bags getting out to the carosel as I get hump mine around. YYZ just takes time, what with traffic congestion. That's what slows you down, not the baggage ha...

Yes. I'm sure the employee's who took haircuts and pink slips are thrilled to tears. Milton will have no trouble getting those new airplanes now, the pilots will be right on side with that.

Grammer boy,

I don't exactly get where you get a dilution from? There has been and continues to be 77-78 bodies per aircraft in the WJ fleet. This varies only occasionally and then by a small margin. I think the full emp. numbers are closer to 3700.

Canada EH, I'm talking about YYC. Commuters is a whole different mess, as we don't have commuters, right? The other issue is that the Captain has the last word on the jumpseat. It is a privilage for any employee to ride there, although it is seldom refused to any employee. If someone were to try and...

Why should the CSA's be the only people who get parking spots at the airport? When I go STBY I have to take cab to the airport from my house. It works both ways. If you want those privilages become a pilot. There's not much left of this profession, it's becomming a job, can we keep a few little perk...

Unfortunatly there is this equality thing going at WJ and I suspect the PACT committee doesn't want the pilots to have anything more than they get. I suspect, and only suspect because I really don't know for sure if that is the real reason. The CSA's probably complained and figured they should get j...

As I understand it WJ was riding around for free on AC and the AC guys were being charged buddy pass rates, 25.00 at the time, thus endeth the agreement. Something about the computers at AC not being able to match that fares structure??? I remember I tried to get a Jazz guy on in YVR and the CSA mad...

Rebel, You should not concern yourself regarding WJ policy. If we are doing something wrong the good people at TC will correct our ways. If ACPA chooses a different path, so be it. I could care less what your jumpseat policy is because I don't have to live with it. You really shouldn't care about ou...
