Re: QOL for commuters
Don't forget to Budget about $5000/yr in after tax dollars just to pay for the AIF's.

Re: Air Canada Pool
PML pilots shall form no less than 80% of the pilots hired by AC. Once the PML has been exhausted, AC will introduce the FPMA which will apply to all of its contracted regional carriers Unless Georgian or sky pilots get hired as OTS pilots, then they will have to wait until the Jazz PML has been exh...

Re: Georgian RJ
Make sure if you apply that you get your Canadian professional pilot license, CPL and ATPL's are not accepted I guess? [quote][• Must hold Canadian Professional Pilot Licence and /quote] What a crock, no wonder Jazz is covering a whack load of their flying this month, la-who za-hers (Ace Ventura has...

Haha, I came up with this username after I had my C2 passes taken away and Georgian took over some jazz flying. I guess if this deal goes through tomorrow I will have to change it to "Calin Hugandkissyou"
, although I'm pretty sure Calin, known as "the shark", would himself prefer the original!

With less than 24 hours to go I feel most of us have probably made up our minds on whether "to list or not to list" so let's have a poll for fun.

Re: Air Canada Pool
My understanding is that the PMA is part of the CPA and thus if the TA gets passed, the 80/20% comes into effect immediately leaving no time to clear up the pool. I feel the pool will get drained using the remaining 20%. I can understand the frustration tho, but there will be jazz captains that have...

Re: New CPA and flowthrough to Air Canada?
A flow with a minimum of 15 years of service will be a tough sell. Perhaps the target demographic is those pilots, but I feel it would have to made available to everybody to pass.

Re: Renegotiating with Air Canada
Numbers floating around on other threads I've heard is 750 pilots to be hired at mainline if the expansion goes as planned. So, will jazz pilots be overlooked by mainline during a possible hiring spree in an effort to maintain schedule at the regionals? I remember during the last bout of hiring at m...

Re: Renegotiating with Air Canada
Up until about 5 years ago Jazz DID have a arrangement with Air Canada for preferential hiring. I can't remember the details but was something like: -guaranteed interview with mainline after 2 years service at Jazz -seniority number ahead of non-jazz pilots in their PIT course -bring over up to 4 ye...

Re: Renegotiating with Air Canada
The previous 2 MEC negotiating surveys had numerous questions about flow through, I believe this is where the rumor started.

Re: Renegotiating with Air Canada
From a Jazz pilots point of view, what do you think of the proposed ACPA TA just released? -Props now scoped to 80 seats -Jets scoped to 76 seats -EMJ staying at mainline -no mention of flow thru Only positive is the "potential" for growth, however I fear it will all be at Sky and Georgian. Hopefull...

So there's certainly hope for ya, especially given the very leading questions asked in the latest unsecured, embarrassment of a pilot survey, sanctioned by none other than our aforementioned MEC. I'm actually pretty worried, which might be your gain. Hi Dukepoint, im just curious if this was an ACP...

Who is to say Encore will still be around in 2020? Lots can happen in the next 6 years, just look at all the change in the past 6. I don't know what the future holds for Jazz, but for now I would still consider it one of the best flying jobs in the country.

Re: Jet naked
Probably will just be an extension of Enerjet if it does get to fruition. Also remember when Enerjet was first starting up they called themselves "NewAir and Tours", expect the same here, JetNaked is most likely just a working name for now. Anyone know when their contract with Transat expires? Perha...

Re: May 1 startup day Air Georgian
How about you negotiate with AC a deal similar to the AMR deal offered to Eagle with some exceptions. - create an AC express seniority list based on DOH. - All AC hiring comes exclusively from the AC Express list offered without restriction based on DOH - place Jazz pilots on the list - all express...
