The $800-1000 is also assuming a full block.
I don’t know the reserve LOA well enough to comment either than it is based on seniority and there is no way for senior pilots to bid reserve if they prefer.

Re: Mainline hiring
I am a Jazz captain and I received an interview request for mainline WestJet. Just wondering what the current first year take home monthly pay is (assuming the full WSP contribution). Also are upgrade times still 10 years in YYZ and is there lots of opportunity to work overtime? Thanks! You’d be ab...

Re: Air Canada Pool
I suppose my question to the Fresh Prince and others looking at leaving the Teal Team would be, why not try and fix all the issues you've highlighted to take advantage of the years of service you've already invested? It seems the WJPA simply has outlived its objectivity and a union representing the...

Re: Air Canada Pool
dtpilot, I'm not sure I can fully answer that question on this forum. From an economical standpoint I believe now it makes sense. Please keep in mind this is the perspective of a pilot with 1000's of hours of airline experience. I'm not fresh out of college with 250 hours. I've spent the last 15 yea...

Re: Air Canada Pool
I've been on the 37 at WJ for 5 years. I would imagine that AC will see applications from us in the 100's. Myself included.

Clearance not valid until...
In YDF they issue us a clearance while engines off with a "Not valid until ABC123 is down and clear or cancels IFR" statement. If i'm at another MF where a VFR departure isn't an option and the Radio Operator advises us that we'll have to wait til so and so lands or cancels before our clearance can ...

K... This info might be harder to come by.
What percentage of each company's flying has more than 2 operating pilots earning credit?
Also does AT or AC augment with more than one RP on any flights?
Thanks

How Many?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to do some math here.... Just wondering the total amount of pilots at each major airline in Canada? Let's start with AC, WJ, Jazz, Porter and Transat. I know there is a count on APC but none of them seem to be recently updated. I also have the numbers of specific licences fr...

Re: Requesting a Visual after being Cleared for Approach
Aircraft spacing is predicated by what then? Actual weather conditions, aircraft type and runway situation? Or is it the same all of the time?
Can you space us closer when it's VMC? Can somebody give me a rundown on spacing of aircraft please?
Thanks.

Clearance Delivery and Runways
How come you sometimes don't get issued a departure runway in a clearance? Most cases I can guess the runway but some are a little tougher like in YWG.

Requesting a Visual after being Cleared for Approach
I have flown with a couple coworkers lately that insist I call the field visual after we have been cleared for some sort of published approach. Usually while on an ILS at an airport with a control tower and we're number 3 in line... I'm a little hazy on what advantage this creates as we clearly aren...

Re: Cleared out of Controlled vs Cleared for the Approach
The aerodromes I was curious about are Albian (AL4) and Horizon (YNR). I don't have a chart on me but I don't believe either are technically inside controlled airspace and I have never been cleared out of controlled via an approach. They usually just clear us for an approach. Both are class G airspa...

YXU Tower
Wondering if anyone on here works in the tower? I am trying to find a way to get my family up there to watch me land and taxi in. Does NAV CANADA even allow this anymore? I'm hoping they do! I don't want to call the tower line as I don't feel that would be the appropriate means. I have an email in t...
