Re: Jazz Dash 8 and Menzies Fuel Truck Collide in YYZ

I recall hearing some really out there "theories" about this incident elsewhere, rumours that this was being covered up due to "multi-cultural sensitivities" and was a "terrorist act" that the mainstream media refused to publish, etc, etc... As if often the case, the truth is more banal than many pe...

At a rate that only a government entity can justify - somewhere between immediately and seemingly never. I know on my file my preferred language is French and my language proficiency is Expert in English. Apparently no one sees the irony in this, even when I called TC about it and asked if they coul...

If you paid with a credit card, try a charge reversal through your credit card company. That usually gets the retailers attention pretty quickly.

Re: What's with KD Air lately?

Rumour has it that there's some company out of the US (California, maybe?) who's pumping money into KD with all sorts of grand plans of buying a bunch of brand new Caravans, etc...

I believe the days of KD Air are waning.

Fake news! Fake news! Right Victory? Let's see... Gold is running pretty high at the moment. Inverted yield curve on bonds. Declining GDP and growth in numerous nations, including China and Germany. A certain person doing a lot to diminish the reputation/credibility of the Fed Chair whom they...

Egypt is another fine example. Interesting isn't it, that while the "moderates" get a lot of attention and Western support it is more often than not the more conservative elements who have the wherewithal to organize themselves and their supporters to get elected - and by conservative elements in Eg...

Alrighty there boys and girls, go easy now. I don't hate Air Canada, or her employees one bit. Georgian and it's ads on the other hand... As for fantasy hardly (as I don't wish a repeat of the various bust cycles we've seen over the years), but only time will tell - as the signs are in place that th...

I would guess a big shaker of a year with lots of layoffs and no movement. Fixed that for you. Gold is potentially on track to hit $2000/ounce - inverted yield curve, so-called "incompetent" federal reserve/unpredictable blow hard president, and other signs of bad news to come. Better hope you've go...

So much for the "power issue" as mentioned in the CADORS. Some of the highlights include, PIC delegating flight planning to company personnel, attempting a takeoff in heavy snowfall, aircraft over MTOW, aircraft loaded near AFT C of G limit, surface contamination after 14 minutes outside in heavy sn...

The Superintendent of Private Career Colleges would be someone to contact with complaints. The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities; another. Finally, the Office of the Auditor General of Ontario. If you're going to complain, be prepared to get kicked out of the school. These "institution...

Right side of the neck is still numb, may be forever, and numb is not quite the right word cause when doing something like shaving it's almost hyper sensitive around the edges. More annoying than anything. Sounds like nerve pain/issues. I had a broken leg a bunch of years back, and have nerve damag...

Damndest thing, I've yet to get any annoying alerts on an older iPhone - just flick the little switch to "silent". All the phone does is vibrate, no loud alert tones - except your alarm if it is set.

Seems a non-issue to me, but this is the internet so bitch away.

Looks like yet another foreign owned school, billing itself as an "aviation college" with next to no presence - but lots of recruiters looking to tap into the profitable pipeline of airline cadets.

I'd be interested in seeing the stats (assuming any are actually available) that gives the number of flight tests over the last say 4 years, breaking it down by licence/rating attempted as well as local/international candidate. Flight Test Scoring - Changes

COPA had an article about this, with the somewhat misleading headline of "Is Canadian Flight Training Passing Muster Abroad?". Seems certain countries are finding that their pilots trained in Canada may or may not be all that competent - although they scrapped by with a passing mark on flight test(s...

Well there has been a number of fatal crashes in history from smoke in the cabin and the crew has diddled around trying to figure out why and trying to decided if it warrants an emergency landing or not, it then ends in tragedy because of wasting precious minutes. I'm my opinion get the plane to th...

The free market works. Except when it died a rather painful death in 1929, and couldn't be resuscitated for fear of mass revolt. Face it, ever since Black Tuesday there hasn't been a "free market". The reason is instability, instability that would quickly spiral out of control and lead to a bloody ...

Re: Canadian housing Prices / Wages

Just the other day, a study of sorts was released. According to the data, if one is to live in Vancouver and works at a minimum wage job they need to work a minimum of 100 hours a week to make rent. That's just making rent, not saving, not getting ahead, not home ownership - just RENT. Nothing ass-b...
