Pretty sure the collective agreement at Jazz says that if they are to recall you while you have a contract or agreement with another employer, they can provide an LOA and that such a request shall not be unreasonably denied.

Hmmm...There seems to be a trend in the comments here that proper deicing equipment and support isn't readily available at Northern stations.

Keewatin dispatch and flying positions are rotational. There aren't too many jobs in Southern Canada that will allow you to rotate at the stage you're currently at in your career. While southern rotational jobs are out there, your best bet would be to look further North first.

I think anyone who works full time should be entitled to a living wage regardless of the job. I don't necessarily think it's ridiculous that WAA employees are asking for more money - I just think the contrast in their wages compared to other people in the industry is ridiculous.

I hope this will result in medevac operators moving away from the 24/7 on-call set up and to more of a day/night shift arrangement. To do a 14 hour day shift, sit for a night and a day and then be expected to do a 14 hour night shift is a completely out of date model and needs to be done away with.
