Re: nav can awws site closure

I hope they track website traffic. I suspect most people have started going elsewhere for their weather information. I can't stand it.

Re: nav can awws site closure

I don't think the developers even tried on a mobile device, likely only larger tablets. The output is too tiny and unreadable. You have to scroll around on a normal sized phone making it very difficult to use. A simple plain text output like before is all I want. I had a url saved with all the local...

Re: nav can awws site closure

New site is terrible. No more simple text weather with a pre saved URL. Everyone needs to write NavCanada.

Still issues with the board. I could not access it most of the day.

I'd gladly donate if I didn't have to block all the ads.

Re: Bearskin cuts routes.

I am not surprised. When I looked at flying into Dryden it was $850 each way for the Thunderbay to Dryden leg of the journey. For $200/hr I'll rent a car and drive.

Re: Is buying a plane to build enough hours a thing in Canada

If you can afford a random $10k breakdown at an off airport then buy a plane. I've seen some scary poorly maintained planes because the owner couldn't afford to fix it properly. I bought a Cherokee and did most of my flight training in it. After getting licensed I flew 350 hours in 3 years and had a...

I've had quality issues with Lightspeed and crap customer service for warranty. I'll never buy another one.

If you need to finance, don't buy one. That's my advice.

I expect fish4life is correct that prices will fall in the next 2 years.

Re: Definite Stall/Spin Accident

I find it disturbing the person who took the video just stands there filming after the crash instead of rushing to help. 1) what can an untrained bystander do to help, especially if there's ARFF trucks rolling? 2) how would they get out of the terminal building air side? Yes, I already addressed th...

Good point. I missed it was at Lesage/QC. I thought it was a smaller uncontrolled environment.

If I was 10 years younger in your position I'd do it. I get bored staring at 3 computer screens all day.
