Re: jazz interview questions
I am aware of your new contract, some of those things are new to this contract. For example your old contract there was no monthly minimum, now it's either 15 or 16 days(not sure which) So if you bid and hold a 4 day pairing worth 28 credit now you have to fit the othe 52 credits in the 11 or 12 re...

Re: jazz interview questions
The reason people come to jazz then fu#%k off to WJ after 3 months is mostly because the average salary at Jazz is just about the same or a little less then the 3rd yr f/o salary at WJ. I can't blame them, most f/o's would probably take that move, even if they say they wouldn't. It's interesting ho...

Well , that's good news.
Hopefully the Jazz situation may be resolved similiarily without the strike which only hurts both sides.

Re: More news on Jazz
It sounds like you guys are well prepared and ready to take this "all the way". A five year guy taking home $2700/mth is pathetic , especially in light of what shareholders and senior executives are squeezing out of the "golden goose". JR and his cronies seem to be unmoved by your preparation and re...

Re: Porter's IPO
Porter Aviation Holdings Inc. plans to delay the date of a public offering of its shares and will drop the price as well after investors failed to jump on the original pricing. The Toronto Island airline now intends to price its initial public offering at $5.50 a share, down from between $6 and $7 a...

I like how he brushes off the current CanJet ...."I went back to CanJet Two when we won [the dispute] and the government assured us it would be different. CanJet Two stopped scheduled service and changed to [a charter business.] They’re doing quite well. If it lasts, fine; if it doesn’t, we’ll move...

Thanks! I think it's great to have transparency. I always wondered how they did things when I was working my way up too. What frustrated me was never getting past the front desk or the receptionist on the phone. That won't happen here. Dave. Nice job Dave. Anyone here still shudder when you hear th...

Re: Southwest stands ready to cut ties with WestJet
Seems to me that it is WestJet that wants to cut ties with Southwest...
Who knows , this could be a ploy by WJ to pressure SW to start taking the "MOU" seriously. Use it or lose it...

Re: Sean Durfy quit?!
What I have heard is that they sell their scheduled block flying at the straight time rate and then pick up OT shifts on scheduled days off or something along those lines. Well...something like that. We have an online system called FLICA that lets us basically fly as much or as little as one wants ...

Re: Sean Durfy quit?!
When do your overtime rates kick in? Is it time and a half or double time? The straight math of $360k divided by 1200 hours in a year yields $300 per hour or for our AC friends that get paid by the minute $5/min (what's the O/T factor?)... damn JJJ you are buying the beers from now til forever! OT ...

Thanks for that awesome insight Brick Head. I'm glad you guys are realizing what my intentions were... to learn. I imagine that you have a certain restriction on brake temps in case of rejecting a take off right? No I was sitting 1 seat aft of the wing. Seat 24A on the A320. Learning's good. Removi...

Your intentions are transparent. Identifying the airline AND flight number AND date is lowest of the low
Take your shite elsewhere.
I hope no one else responds to this post and attempt to cause a shite slinging fest.

Wow Hotwings, you must be working at WestJet for different reasons than me. CB could be blowing goats at lunchtime for all I care. What the hell difference does it make what his personality is...unless you're TM's bud and holding a grudge. It's not like he has A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G to do with a line pilo...

guess what is comes down to is that we're just happy to have a job. we're not stupid, we know its below industry standards...and we want more, but they know we'd do it to stay in yhz. but from my comment above the "85 k FOR NOW" with canjet expanding outside of the maritimes, hopefully they'll bump...

Our Tribunal system is what it is. It protects the rights of the minority. The desire of the majority have no consideration even when the negative impact is substantial. Welcome to Canada. Look at our justice system...it's a disgrace. Our immigration system...a disgrace. Even though I'm pro 60+ , I ...
