Re: Sunwing fleet and pilot rosters for the 2015/2015 season

Too early to filter all of that out. So, I will ask you this. How do you explain the plethora of English ONLY speaking pilots at Transat? They could put a shuttle mission in to their requirements, but it doesn't mean that is who they will hire. I am sure you are well aware that when a company posts...

Other than taking a pay cut etc. how hard is it to come back and find a job. Do employers value the experience?

So I read the file posted at the beginning, and the author Explains how hard it is to come back and work back home (U.S.) due to the companies not valuing the Chinese experience etc. My question is regards to the Middle East like Emirates, if a turboprop guy went and got some experience there on a j...

I will say this again - if potential applicants would like the starting pay at GGN/SKY/Jazz/Encore to go up, then DONT APPLY! It is a sellers market and will become even more so in the not so distant future. Which airline is willing to cancel flights over the principle of low starting pay? Nobody t...

Re: Middle East now open to Turbo Prop Pilots'

So new EK bond is 5 yrs ($45,000USD), correct? Say you just can't handle it anymore, and leave in your 3rd year? How do they get the rest of the money? They can cut your last pay check...but what if that isn't enough to recover the bond? Just curious what happens? Well you also get an "end of year ...

If I may be so bold to ask a question on this topic as a point of interest and without any intention to stir the pot as I have zilch knowledge on the ME and airline operations in general. Do I understand it correctly that accepting a flying job there, you can't just simply decide the type of work i...

FYI Housing in the area can range from $35000-$90000 and more CDN per year...I'm talking rent. Low-end is for an apartment, high-end for a villa. Hydro/utilities could cost as low as $400CDN / up to $1800CDN for said apartment(in winter)/ Villa in summer...PER MONTH...Crazy expensive...Food is also...

Anyone have any insight on FZ (flydubai)? 3yr 36K bond. Conditions sound ok for FO's from what i hear. Pay is 11K a month (US) but you take care of your own housing etc. I'm faced with the decision on either that or a regional in Canada for peanuts.

I'm flying at a 705 company with over 3000hr. I can say I'm at least a competent pilot. I applied at Jazz many times in the last 3 years but only finally got the call 3 months ago after the new agreement and pay scale. I agreed to do the interview, but after thinking about it and discussing with the...

We constantly avoid flocks of birds etc. I do t see how automation would ever be able to mitigate a risk like that.
