Re: Business flying slowing down?
Heavy corporate jet YYZ based and we're very busy, aircraft management company we operate under is continually adding aircraft to the fleet. So far no signs of anything slowing down really.

Re: Hiring DEC's
Other than AC & WJ no one pays over $150,000 for a 1st year Captain and WJ is just over. Heard Flair's 1st year captain pay is going up to $145k+ 1st year. Not quite over $150k but a big improvement from $114k. Air Transat new pay rates as of May 1, 2022 for year 1 Captain is $177K, but everyone wh...

Bump
Just wondering if anyone has written this exam lately, specifically the Canadian conversion (ACM version)? If so what study materials did you use?
Cheers

Stock is up 46% today, new aircraft arriving shortly, generally the mood is pretty upbeat amongst employees.
I think TS will be just fine whatever happens.

Re: PAL Dash 8 CPT in YUL
They are too cheap to pay for a job ad sticky so they just repost the ad everyday. That should tell you all you need to know. You sound like someone who got PFO'd. The pay is on par if not better than most regionals. The company culture is pretty good considering there is no union and the crews are...

Re: What kind of watch do you wear?
All the feedback is much appreciated!
I agree having a smartphone and lots of clocks in the cockpit means I don't really need anything fancy to tell the time but I appreciate decent watches with classic style.
Anyone own any IWC timepieces?

Re: What kind of watch do you wear?
Honestly - get a decent Timex or Casio G-Shock. They keep time just as well, have decent functions, and you don't have to worry about losing it, getting jacked for it, dropping/bashing/getting it wet, etc.. I've got a G-Shock now, great watch, but I'm looking for something a little nicer that I can...

Re: Creating Jumpseat Agreements
Porter has an incredible jumpseat program which happens to be...FREE!! The rest of the industry should take note and follow their lead. RJS users are also treated very well during their stay onboard. A very pleasant expierence, used it often. Only catch is, contrary to the AC, WJ, TS, Jazz of the w...
