Re: Any Update On The New Contract?
The flow language is still weak as hell and basically says only IF the mothership needs 737 FO's, AND only IF Encore can spare the Captains. As for the pay bump, what about the concession in WSP? They gave up how much in contributions? What language? The TA hasn't even been released yet. Also, the ...

Re: Westjet vs Porter E2 YVR
WestJet also uses a socialized bidding system, so there isn't really any reason for someone to stay on the 787 as an FO when they could upgrade. There's no benefit for scheduling or vacation, and they would be giving up the money that goes with it. The only factor that seniority affects could be the...

Re: The end of Flair?
If Flair is doing so well financially, why do they have a sale on for next winter? They're selling cut-rate tickets on bookings for a year from now, when this beach season hasn't even ended and no one is thinking about where they'll be going next March. That's just insanity unless they're so despera...

Re: The end of Flair?
More than 14 000 people didn't think twice about buying tickets on Flair once the online payment thing was sorted out. Nearly a one day record for us. How many of those bought one of the sub-$50 deals? Not only that, but that's the total price; the fare on a $29 ticket is $15.50. Add in the 20% dis...

Re: Flair Suspending Growth Plans amid Delivery Delays and Debt
I posted this article to show that ADP has had issues with pay in the past. You really are a simple minded boy aren’t ya? :goodman: So by that measure it would be fair game to post articles about Flair having aircraft repossessed and owing tens of millions of dollars in taxes in order to show a tre...

Pasco's SOP policy
From Pasco's operations duty manager ad: Adhere to and promote the Company's safety initiatives, particularly during periods of IROPs when SOPs are less likely to be followed Including the fact that SOPs aren't going to be followed during IROPs in the job ad creates the expectation that it's normal,...

Boeing owns a factory in Winnipeg that employs 1500 people. I'm sure at least a few Canadian workers will see the benefits of this purchase through the supply chain.

How's that $200/barrel oil prediction working out for you?
I've been hearing that the sky is falling since 2020, and yet quarter after quarter the recession gets pushed back a little further. Now it's going to happen in Q1 2024, for sure, absolutely, definitely, maybe...

Re: Self-flying plane in one-year deal with feds
I think you guys are putting way more thought into this than the company has. They're using a Quad City Challenger with a range of 170 NM and a payload of about 300 lbs if there's no pilot. They don't need to worry about communications 400 miles out from the base, because they'll never get even half...

Re: ATAC Requests Gov't Suspend Duty Regs
Even if specific operators receive exemptions, or there's a blanket exemption for all of 703, I don't see how that's going to help with a pilot shortage. I imagine there are a lot of people who are happy in their current positions because they have good lifestyles, but when they're forced to go from...

Re: ATAC Requests Gov't Suspend Duty Regs
Imposing a regulation requiring an overnight increase in pilots in the midst of severe pilot shortage demonstrates a complete lack of understanding and a total disregard for sustained air services to Canada’s remote regions. They had four years of warning! This government is driving up the cost of ...

Jesus Christ, you guys are complete narcissists if you think the primary factor in everyone's decision-making is how it affects you. Under the current circumstances, I don't think anyone is looking for ways to screw anyone else, they're just trying to keep their heads above water. I can't spe...
Re: One List
Ridiculous as always stratopaused. The sky won't fall without the one list. Encore will keep operating the same as every other regional. Management has never given an inch on anything with us. They fought us every step of the way with our contract negotiations, and they stretched out the implementa...
Re: One List
It has nothing to do with the WestJet pilots, you are so misguided. It's the corporation that determines your value. Stop with the pity me attitude. It has everything to do with the WestJet pilots, and you're deluding yourself if you think you're blameless. Encore stood alongside WestJet pilots and...
Re: One List
Hey Stratopaused, The culture people at WestJet have done a great job expressing the Why of our jobs which is reflected in your posts regarding Encore’s contribution. I sense the Encore group has morphed this to a popularized idea that mainline is reaping the rewards off Encore’s contribution. I of...
