Re: about English test
I am going to jump in here and give some advice to those out there whom English is not your first language. Please SLOW down and annunciate your words instead of trying to machine-gun a clearance back to ATC. I would rather you take a little more time on the radio and be able to understand you inste...

Re: What kind of watch do you wear?
Wow! I'm blown away by the money you guys are spending on watches! I guess I'd better look for the cheap, oops, I mean thrifty pilot forum.... If it were me, I'd take the dough, by a cheap watch (since who uses one anyway, as has been said) and go find a Pitts somewhere to do some aerobatics in But...

Re: Bose ProFlight Series 2 or A20?
I have never used one in flight but the YYZ pilot shop has one you can demo hooked up to a sound environment for a PC12 and I think the other was a Boeing. I did not like them because the earbuds fit very poorly and kept falling out of my ears. Now they do have different size buds but the ones on de...

Thought the flight crew of the future was going to be a pilot and a dog? The dog is to bite the pilot if he touches anything!

eAPIS/Flashpass
Do any US-bound flyers use the new Flashpass APP? Is it working well for you and is this a cost in addition to registering for eAPIS or is it the same thing but just APP based and I only need to sign up for the app? How does this compare to using the eAPIS subscription from fltplan.com at considerab...

Re: Manual costs
Ha! I thought I was being a bit vague. I am researching the costs involved for operating a PC12 under 604 operations VS finding a fractional operator to manage the plane, so not really sure where to start or what I all need to know but thought this forum may be a good start to get me pointed in the ...

Re: Questions for chief Pilot Interview
That is my plan actually. I was planning on using the questions as a study guide to go in depth. I am not planning on pursuing a CP position it is more just for my own education.

Questions for chief Pilot Interview
In light of the exam requirement being removed, it is my understanding that there is now just a personal interview where the questions are provided ahead of time.
Can someone provide me with those questions, please?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Flying to Montreal
Thanks.....ya that could work but CSN3 is gravel so staying away from that. Also it would only save maybe 15 minutes on the drive. Plus might be nice to get a hangar if weather is poopy. I think back to plan A, lol. Thanks for the input cheers!

Flying to Montreal
Hi I may be flying into Montreal (CYUL) mid March and then driving up to Piedmont from there. I was wondering if any locals could tell me if there is a IFR airport closer to Piedmont that might work better for a shorter drive?
Thanks in advance

Ride needed YWG to YYZ
Anyone in the area heading to YYZ? I need to be there by Tuesday the 26th noonish and returning on the 27th late or even 28th for an interview but do not have the funds for the airfare. I am also an experienced IFR pilot and I could ride shotgun for anyone wanting to build some IFR time. Quick quest...

"A pilot is a pilot. Fatigue is fatigue," Adamus said. "It should be one year for everybody." Canadian Transport Minister Marc Garneau told Reuters last week that the new rules would apply to commercial flights of a variety of sizes and be based on scientific evidence on fatigue, but did not give f...

Re: Airline Cover Letter ?
If hiring managers find that this is an important detail when applying for a position, then why do so many companies leave out the contact name of the Chief pilot or HR manager when the position is posted in the first place? Another pet peeve I have with job postings on AVCANADA are companies who po...
