Departing high level controlled airspace
Looking for some info to settle a bet between two pilots. You've been cleared out of high level controlled and asked to report through 18,000. The destination airport is uncontrolled and you will remain clear of controlled all of the way in. With "cleared out of controlled", can you proceed to an ap...

Re: Buffalo Airways - April 28, 2020 - Kugaaruk
Snipe away but we won't know what happened and why until the story is properly told. Some questions in my mind are what the hell are they doing stooging around in a f'n navajo with no fuel (unless they had a cache at kug or wing lockers) what was their routing and if a standard 'Ho what was and whe...

Re: Instructing at Harv's
18 to 30k losing the family atmosphere in Steinbach I've heard of one instructor making just shy of 40K, most are in the 20-25K region. In the past few months a bunch of us have noticed a decline in the family atmosphere. It's a good place to log hours if they like you. You can be busy, just don't ...

Float Rating - Getting signed off
Does anyone know someone near Thompson / Flin Flon area that has signing authority to sign off a float rating? The training was provided by a float company up north and there is a job waiting, but the 90 day wait for TC to send the sticker puts that on hold.

Instructor Rating renewal question
I have a current flight instructor rating that is due to expire shortly. Does anyone know the process to renew the rating based off the reference below? This is my first time renewing other then a flight test. CAR's 421.66 (1) An applicant for renewal of a Flight Instructor Rating - Aeroplane or Hel...

Re: Controllers asking airplanes if they are dual or solo
This occasionally happens in Winnipeg. Anytime I've had this occur it's usually due to traffic and the potential for us to cause a conflict if we screw up. For me it never really seems to change with which student accent is on the radio. If we go to YWG they usually put us on the intersecting runway...
