Re: Emirates or Air Canada

Go to Emirates.

We’ve got too many issues here and glory holes are now one of them.
🤦🏻‍♂️ 🤦🏻‍♂️

Amazing how quiet they kept this one. Haha 😂

Re: Making 200k+ and going to AC for 55k?

It is sad that they had to do this and embarrassment for our pilot group in general which we will address this new contract, however as perspective in our last company bid... the most junior A220 CA was hired November 2023. Nov 2023? I love futurama. :D What is the actual date? haha my bad. It was ...

Re: Making 200k+ and going to AC for 55k?

I know so many pilots here that left high paying jobs to start at Y1 at Air Canada. It is sad that they had to do this and embarrassment for our pilot group in general which we will address this new contract, however as perspective in our last company bid...the most junior A220 CA was hired November...

Re: The "Yes" side will be full of regret

I see a sad Yes vote on this unfortunately. Canadian pilots have been taught to not have a backbone. Senior guys happy to get what they can get. Junior guys completely disenfranchised and don't care. Sad to see what Jazz has become. A Yes vote to a MOS that the Union doesn't even support will be the...

Proof how young our pilots are. Yes you also have to pack extra underwear. :)

Re: Approx Net Pay - First Year Q400 Captain

 There is no such thing as a good working relation. Its called blindness and kool-aid drinks that have been quite high there. The porter pilots believe they have a good relationship for years and years but nothing is further from the truth. I used to think this way too. And you know what…. Un...

Re: Approx Net Pay - First Year Q400 Captain

Porter doesn't have a union. That’s correct. And, they don’t have a union because they have a good working relationship between them. If Porter started going outside the posted agreement/ wage bands, doing “special favours”, etc. a union becomes more likely. There is no such thing as a good working...

Re: Toronto base wins the PRIZE!

We really should not be entertaining excuses. Next thing you know everyone will have one. Then even those holding the line will give up. I’ve watched it happen. The company is hoping for it. Failure in any Unity exercise could have devastating consequences. If the numbers grow small individuals may...

Re: Toronto base wins the PRIZE!

I do love how there seems to be a huge focus to ask guys on flat pay to not pick up any VO. Some guys happily admit they're even going to take LOC to pull through. No one ever thinks some of them are barely able to keep their heads out of the water to breathe. Some pilots can't even afford a LOC an...

Don't fall for this line of rhetoric. Flair is not the big bad threat WestJet management makes us out to be. You've lost more in wages and working conditions to Swoop and soon to Sunwing than you ever will to Flair. We raised our Captain hourly wages to match yours, yet Swoop's w...

Congrats to most united pilot group in Canada. What a road it has been for you all. I hope this deal shows what unity can truly bring.

If it is the new industry standard. I'll be buying coffeees/drinks to all WJ pilots when I see them around the terminals.

Re: Does the Former MEC Chair smoke crack?

Don't worry....I'll be up at my cottage in Muskoka, I won't spend a minute worrying about the train wreck that's about to occur. Has it ever occurred to you to evaluate why you believe the Air Canada pilots are incapable of acting like a real union. To do so will be a train wreck. Yes 2012 was a tr...

Re: Aircraft QoL

Yes but do you know why? The other NB aircraft have a good amount of self-monitoring of their systems and will tell you when something fails whether you’re using it at the time or not. The 737 just lets you figure it out yourself. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Clearly you are an airbus ...

IFALPA ban....oooh, that'll make em sit up and lie awake at night hey? There's no doubt that some "housecleaning" took place and a few were sent packing. However the majority were sent home due to a downsizing, or Covid or base closures and age limits in foreign countries. Out of work an...

Re: New Flair Staff Travel

These pilots came from their oversees jobs making what they did and were willing to accept shit pay to start up an airline when the whole industry put a ban on accepting those positions. They then manipulated and negotiated their crap contract just recently when they had the opportunity to do so mu...
