Weird thing about Guelph in the CFS: “ Tng Rwy 05/23 proh without prior authorization fr Transport Canada via ops specifications” I know it’s a small runway, but that is just strange. I could be mistaken, but it might be due to the trees in close proximity causing some nasty turbulence---note the h...

Just balk at 5 feet, float down the runway and climb away. Cant get you on a touch and go if you never touch lol. S. don't try this at yyz or alike.. especially with landers in trail. last US reg GA who caused a 705 toga after messing around on runway before clearing ended up with a missing pitot t...

Ever hear a MU-2 taxi, or a HS748? I live about 10 km from they Tbay airport out in the country. Even during the day I can hear the mighty MU2 strutting her stuff as she taxis out for departure. could also be metros! you also reminded me of the thu/j7 race from fort frances where the mu2 just got i...

Re: Does Anyone Have a Dog?
i wouldn't recommend it for both you or the dog unless you have a reliable "roommate" or neighbour to assist.
also, younger and older dog's require more companionship and care so at those stages of their live's it wouldn't be ideal to be left unattended for long.

Re: PPL training on floats?
i think it's dependent on the trainee as glassy water conditions could inhibit some student's progress. In what way could glassy water inhibit training? students with less ability could be more challenged and/or discouraged possibly decreasing their lesson(s) results. at the ppl stage some students...

Evan is in grade10 so he would only be working backhouse if at a restaurant. instead of serving you can try for a dishwasher position at a local pub. i would normally of recommended an FBO job but your probably a bit young to be airside. but maybe you could find a job washing planes at your nearest ...

when flying the old early evening 208 bank runs in there occasionally we got pressed getting open on freq to establish with twr. it would of been even more tricky w/o twr keeping up the cadence for everyone.

i used to rent there and noticed most instructors were internally trained so that could still hold true. it's a good location but their legacy skyhawks were in rough shape and i even seen a Transport Examiner that was critical about the condition of an aircraft.

Re: Night Rating - You Should Think About It!
question for TPC & RP: would you follow the right turn out once off YRO 27 at night for noise mitigation over the RCMP stables that's advised? or would you disregard until well established in the climb? (have either of you been cautioned? we were after overflying in Aztec)
