Re: Equipment Bid 2025-01 result

Missed profit expectations, fleet reduction still on schedule for 2026…. Ouch.

US flying is down big time, just wait until we go into recession the smaller gauge aircraft will become more valuable, not less. Just wait.

Re: E2 Captain

I would like to add, that if you are a 1900 capt, and they offer you left seat on an E2, you should say NO. You don't want to be in that position. You'll be fumbling and screwing up every little thing, no one should want that.

Re: Pairings

Got a few questions about the pairings at CJT: 1. Is there any single day pairings? 2. Do they have reserve? 3. Are most of the flights night flights? 4. How long is the longest pairing? Thanks in advance for answering my questions! 1. There are some. YHM YOW in the AM, YOW YHM in the PM. Often use...

So if Jazz is shrinking quickly, why is PAL expanding? What did Jazz do wrong to p*ss off Air Canada?

So you folks are going to loose 6-8 Q400's a year until 2028? Fleet settling in around 25, down from 39 today. Did I read that right?

Re: Air Canada Revises the Terms of its Capacity Purchase Agreement with Chorus Aviation for Regional Flying

This is why we get shit on. Ohhh shiny J class seats that'll sweeten the deal! Waiting for the spin and gaslighting. Are Jazz juniors about to be ball-gagged and introduced to the GIMP, over seniority. If you are a Jazz pilot, stop stirring the pot and wait until you see a tentative agreement. You ...

Re: Equipment bid

TRZ just announced Q4 2020 financial results and does not forecast recovery to pre-pandemic levels prior to 2023. And yes - they are well aware of the arrival of the vaccine (even referred to it in the press release). Also indicate that 2021 operations and revenue will continue to be dramatically a...

Re: Equipment bid

Unfortunately, no recalls in 2021 would not surprise me. Especially considering the willingness of some active members to "Help out" and fly 100+ credit months. I'm sure the company can count on these fine folks to keep the CAE bill under control for at least another year... It’s nearly impossible ...

Re: The Return to Normal?

Yup. We shouldn’t sacrifice the livelihoods and futures of the 20-60 year olds to help every 90 year old become a 91 year old. This virus is new, but every virus is new at some point. New and deadly microbes have been popping up every decade or so. I’m worried we’ll still be recovering economically ...

Re: Chorus to be sold ?

The shareholder rights plan isn’t a guarantee of no hostile takeovers. It’s a plan in the event of hostile take over, shareholders have a right to purchase shares at a significant discount, making unwanted takeovers more expensive, not impossible.

Re: Chorus to be sold ?

So what kind of timeline are we looking at here? Days or weeks, not months. CHR may simply announce that no agreement was reached (offer rejected or withdrawn). There may be a period where CHR does due diligence on the offer presented. There may be a period of negotiation that results in a modified...

Re: Chorus to be sold ?

They said a “third party”, so that rules out AC as the buyer. My guess is A random hedge fund or a SPAC. Chorus is trading at an embarrassingly low price, so there must be some bottom feeding group looking to slash and burn Chorus. This is why employees NEED to own shares in the company they work f...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

Am I crazy to say that the Chorus-AC contract is stronger than the AC-ACPA contract? I mean, Chorus has a long term contract with AC. After all kinds of talk about “Force Majeurs” and whatever, it hasn’t happened, and AC keeps paying Chorus almost exactly what it paid them for his time last year. M...

Re: Jazz Recalls?

I’m not a betting man, but if I was I’d say that Sky Regional struggles until it’s contract is up (2028 I think?) then it goes extinct. Jazz continues strong until 2035 and beyond with its baseline Payments from AC of 85 tails, and all pilots are called back when the Sky contract is over to absorb t...

How about we talk about the $1.6B getting raised, and how AC almost certainly won’t go into CCAA in 2020! Perhaps AC has enough liquidity to roll into Q2 20201. Everyone ...

Brutal....this sounds more like a fact than an opinion? Pure speculation. But just look at what AC is doing with the schedule and listen to what is AC is saying publicly. The rest is just a math exercise. Exactly. A company the size of Air Canada can’t do much without publicly disclosing it. You wo...
