Re: Trenton Military Terminal Area
I was looking at making a flight from Kingston to Toronto, and noticed that there is a huge Military Terminal Area surrounding Trenton. How do I navigate that airspace? Says its class E, but I’m always a bit worried when it says military. Can I fly through as long as I stay clear of the controlled ...

Re: A Career in Aviation or Law Enforcement?
I understand why you would post your dilemma here but all you’re going to get is opinion on what others would do. Even if you only got a response from people who made it in their careers that’s creates a bias and you’ll never get a fully objective response. Reading your initial post there doesn’t s...

You fellows should check out some of his other flying videos and “stories”

Re: Commute from YGK
I highly doubt AC will be going back there. Especially with the smallest plane soon to be a Q400. I flew the Q in there a couple times at Jazz and the runway width is an issue. The turn around bay at the north end isn’t very big either. Runway has been lengthened and a few other improvements. 737 h...

Commute on what? AC isn’t flying to Kingston anymore.
Unless your commuting in your own airplane. It’s a nice airport. My hometown.

Might actually happen... https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/42395/it-looks-like-a-c-130-seaplane-is-finally-happening Ha! Not a chance. The payload will be pathetic, the C-130 is not a speed demon and will be a J3 with these floats on, at that point what have they gained? They’d be further ahead...

Re: Buttonville Drone Collision
With the greatest of respect to the people worrying about the procedural niceties of whether YRP broke some rule or didn’t follow some procedure, that’s not the point. The point is some dumb fuckwit plod constable thought it was a good idea to fly a drone on the approach to an active runway in the ...

I am sorry but your connection is wrong. I do not believe the author has something to do with russians. I do not find russians with this combination of given name and family name. Please watch this video to the end it will completely explain the connection in detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: I'm going to court
Last September I received a letter from the TC medical officer requesting I get a hearing test, I sent him back a fax letter stating that PM Doug Ford told me to stay at home because of the Coranavirus, guess what, two weeks ago I received a letter from TC who cancelled by pilot licence, So now I w...

I didn't say they were or weren't over gross. I just gave some data. Checking around, I read the weight of '94 Saratoga II is 2500lb but the weight of a 1980 PA-32R is 2000lbs. Both with 3600lbs max gross. Do you know which this was? Right from the POH My source says newer turbo version. Not confir...

The wind picked up a lot between 6pm and 7pm local time. Prior to that, poor vis and low cloud prevailed. Sunset was at 1630 local time, or 2130Z. Re: Bombardier rips into the Globe and Mail
Our new aircraft has the longest range, the largest cabin and smoothest ride of any business jet ever made. This statement annoys me. Is the Global 7500 really a larger cabin than the ACJ380 (or any of the wide-body Airbus Corporate Jets or Boeing Business Jets?). Boeing and Airbus models both have...

Still some here have stuck to their blind hold it off as long as possible idea. Funny you say blind. The whole point is attitudes. Looking out the window, comparing the nose/cowl/windshield to the horizon. First you’re going to be nose below the horizon pitching for airspeed. In the flare you’re go...

Re: That Smooth Landing
I agree with photofly, holding it off is perfectly fine advice. If you have students striking the tail or getting close to it. You’re not saving them from striking the tail, you’re making up for your own poor instruction. From lesson number 1 you should be drilling in landing attitudes, giving them ...

Re: Small Plane Crash at Carp - Pilot Injured
I know airplanes have fuel gauges and on should monitor fuel. What I'm saying is a tiny amount of oil will make a fair amount of smoke, a bad turbo is hardly going to expel 12 liters of oil in the average flight. I'm not saying you should fly with a turbo going bad just that if it goes bad in the a...
