She woke up being (allegedly) raped in YQU. He (allegedly) admitted to consensual sex but she was adamant that there was no consent. According to the (alleged) internal company investigation she was (allegedly) unable to provide consent due to her (alleged) level of intoxication. WJ (allegedly) prot...

Re: ONEX plans
Droptanks, I agree that those pilots that were holding a lot of 18$ shares have a windfall at 31$. However, that may be a fleeting one time event. If Onex, decides to play hardball on salaries, what are the options for WJ pilots? Widebody expansion, which the optimistic are heavily relying on,canno...

Quarterly loss
As reporeted at the CBC.... WestJet Airlines Ltd. reported a rare loss of $20.8 million in the second quarter as it was beset by a labour dispute with its pilots, higher fuel prices and increased competition. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/westjet-losses-2nd-quarter-calgary-labour-dispute-1....

Re: ULP from CUPE
I’m loathe to start another thread on CUPE so I’ll just append this gem here. CUPE, in its collectivist wisdom chose to announce a card count mere days ahead of the signing of an MOA for the FAs that would have improved several areas for them. Now, with the card count in place, and should it be suc...

Re: ULP from CUPE
A common question being asked of the randomly selected FAs is if WJ interfered. The common response is "yes". What an assinine way to work against a union...blatantly interfering with no regard for the impact their actions and statements will have on future drives. Yesterday was the cut-off for inpu...

Re: ULP from CUPE
If the management at a company are mental midgets, what does that make the employees who choose to work under them? Perhaps you should give your logic skills a little more work? Claiming that preventing CUPE from handing out propaganda in a place of business is somehow infringing on the right to co...

ULP from CUPE
No link yet but it (the ULP) exists...filed yesterday. It's a big one. As soon as a link exists I will edit and post again. Filming fas, interfering with organizers in yyz and yyc, Ed's email...and more. How many more small-minded and ignorant mistakes is WJ going to make? I'm not even going to spe...

Re: They were going to lock everyone out and shut the doors?
This isn’t the place we signed up to work so now the game plan changes. Hopefully we get back on track As a banged up Marsellus Wallace would say "Nah man. I'm pretty fuckin' far from okay." ALPA has wrestled a lit match from the hands of an individual standing in room soaked with gasoline dead set...

They were going to lock everyone out and shut the doors?
[*]http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/westjet-alpa-meditors-fmcs-1.4676957 Clive hates unions that much. Westjet 'cares' that much about its employees. Wow. 1) Did the MEC make the right decision? My answer is yes. They did the best they could in a difficult situation with a nearly impossible negotiati...

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft
It looks to me like the pilots accepted the best possible scenario with a very real possibility of the airline being shut down out of spite by CB and his hand-picked board (so I've heard). CB hates listening so.much that he was willing to direct the company to cause great losses to the shareholders ...

They didn't learn. Maybe if they weren't paying millions in legal fees per quarter the profit would be higher.
When is the last time a WJ CEO apologized for anything?

That is most definitely a threat to use the company's policy against a fellow employee. If John isn't reported then that's on you all. Him and his rubbish threats are going to damage someone else's career. Stop him before he does what he is very capable and likely to do.

WJ seems not to have learned their lesson (Spying?)
Hmmm, the leader of WJ's research and insights team has admitted on Yammer to asking certain paying customers to open up their phones and video record the competition on their own planes. In the same blurb he also says that WJ customers were encouraged to record/photograph their flight attendants du...

Maybe he doesn't work for WestJet now, but he used to. Realitychex=Mark Hill I remember being beside MH on a 737-200 a few times traveling out to YYJ in 2001 and 2002. I literally saw the powerpoint printed slides of the competition's information that WJ would soon be accused of, and ultimately gui...

Re: A Big happy family.
If enough FAs speak up and file complaints that could end up with a significant amount of back pay (in a perfect world). Min credit days and duty RIGs should be a must. To do otherwise is highly questionable. Grooming is work. Full stop. I remember them saying that the 15 minutes of pay after wheels...
