I'm sure there are some very good pilots that can do that stuff safer than others, but I'm not one of them so I'll be happy being that low for the purposes of taking off and landing only.

The only thing I can add here is general advice. The first time you get fired/laid off/whatever is the hardest. You think, "Why me? I did an OK job. Life's so unfair. WAAAAAH!! What will I do now?" :cry: The second time you get fired/laid off/whatever is easier. You think, "Jeebus! It happened again...
